Ares tried to look for the constellation again. Granted, Astronomy wasn't his strong suit, but this was just embarrassing at this point. He could have sworn he knew what Orion looked like, or did he have no idea? Why was he missing it so much? Oh, well. All there was to do was keep looking. Someone was done now so he had to try and hurry up so he wouldn't be too far behind.

Standing with the other champions in the Osservatorio, Desiree glanced over at her brother, finding him looking back at her. She nodded at him as a sign to wish him luck, before turning her focus back to the Ministry member standing in front of them. She didn’t wish him harm, or for him to do poorly, but that also didn’t mean she was going to take it easy on him. She was competitive, and she planned to win.
Astronomy was not what she had expected when it came to a tournament task. It was not the most impressive feat of magic, in fact no magic was needed whatsoever. She was also confused as to the point of such a scavenger hunt challenge when they would all be separated across the school grounds. They had an audience, why not perform a feat they could actually watch? Desiree had been looking forward to showing off her skills to the other students, proving herself as the most worthy champion. She suppressed an eye roll as Tam finished the instruction, already disappointed at the lack of spectacle. If the tournament had been held at Beauxbatons, she was sure it would have been a much grander occasion.
No matter. It was time to compete, and no matter her opinion on the challenge, she would win. There was no question there. She made her way over to a telescope only a few away from her brother and waited for the signal. As soon as the whistle blew, she began her search for the Cygnus constellation. She wracked her brain for any memory of Astronomy, searching through the night sky, trying to recall where the constellation could be found. The subject was definitely not her strongest, considering she found it quite useless, but she would not let that stop her from succeeding in this task, putting all her focus on searching for the cross shaped constellation.

It took much less time than Desiree originally anticipated before she spotted the Cygnus constellation. She smiled proudly to herself. She knew she was a superior champion to her competition. She quickly drew the constellation on the piece of parchment next to her, continuously double checking her work through the telescope to match what she saw.
It was only when she finished her drawing that she glanced over at the rest of the competitors. Most were still looking for their constellation, a few were drawing, but she was most surprised to see that her brother was currently ahead of her, having already opened his chest. That simply would not do. Glancing back at her drawing for a second, confirming it was correct, she quickly made her way over to the row of chests, hoping to close Henri’s lead.

Silvia could now see all sixteen stars that made up the Andromeda constellation. She took the parchment, dipped a quill into an inkpot and began marking them. Speed was priority, as was accuracy of star spacing and their angles to each other. Aesthetically, though, she could have done a better job. Hopefully, that wouldn't affect the task's grade.
It only took a handful of seconds to do the drawing. Silvia put the quill down and walked over to the semi-circle of chests. Walking along the array, she had just started wondering what would indicate which one of them was hers when the constellation sketch began glowing. Taking this as a fairly clear hint, the teen stopped and reached out to open the nearest chest.

After reaching the chest, Henri opened it and discovered the contents of it. The content consisted of a necklae, a pocket mirror and a pocket watch “And this is it?” he asked empathizing the word is it. He decided to take the pocket mirror and waited for the following instructions, having seen that his sister was already almost where he was. He shrugged, sketching a small smile to cheer her up and continued on with the task.

DESIREE FONTAINE drew the constellation and held it up to the chests until the constellation on the parchment started glowing. That meant that it was her chest. She opened it and found three objects inside: a necklace, a pocket mirror, and a pocket watch. She could only choose one.

TOBIAS ALVAREZ found the constellation and now needed to draw it on the parchment provided.
HENRI FONTAINE picked up the mirror. It wouldn't work until he left the Osservatorio, however. He would have to go find the 5 locations around Firenze now.

Finally!
Ares quickly scribbled down the constellation on the parchment and brought it over to the chests. Thankfully his strategy of staying near the middle so he wouldn't have to walk too far proved to be advantageous. Also, some of the chests were already opened from the other competitors who were unfortunately ahead of him.
He watched as the chest opened up and hoped he would make a good next choice.
((I so want to draw it in real life but I'm not going to do anything that will give him extra points. xD))

The three items her chest held seemed ordinary enough. Were they somehow enchanted to help with the task? Or was this just some personality test - necklace for the greedy, mirror for the vain, watch for the overthinking? Silvia couldn't see any immediate use for any of them. Perhaps the mirror, if angled correctly, could be utilized to look around the corner and see if some danger awaited there... Still, she felt more drawn to the pocket watch; in the end, that was what she picked.
Now what? From the explanation they were given, she understood that the whole palace and its grounds would have to be scoured for some items - presumably ones they would, at a glance, recognize as part of the task. Better get started - even if she had no idea where to go first.
She folded the drawing and pocketed it along with the watch, heading for the stairs as she did so. It seemed like a good idea to get out of the tower and begin the actual challenge. Once outside, she cast a quick look to survey the area - not that much of it could be seen by someone who just stepped out into the night from a well-lit building - and began walking at a fast pace. Though it was fairly dark, she chose not to light her wand just yet - albeit she did slide it out of its sheath, just to be ready in case something attacked. Lumos would provide visibility of her immediate surroundings but blind her to anything that might lurk a few yards away, outside the circle of light... as well as make her too easy to follow, should some of her competitors want to play dirty. Her eyes would get accustomed to the dark soon enough, and then the stars would provide enough illumination.
[Picks pocket watch; exits the tower using stairs, goes west]

With the object he had chosen, he proceeded to think of a direction to take. This time Henri did not want to look back or think about others, he had to focus on his goal which was to win the task. As far as he could see, he was carrying a slight advantage. His blue eyes examined the place, before heading straight in.

He found Canis Minor and drew it on a piece of parchment. Taking it over to the chests, he waited to see which one was his. Other champions had finished ahead of him so there were only a few options left of which it could be.

Once the champions left the Osservatorio, it was hard to see any of them. Well, that blowed. Henri had already left the Osservatorio but Desiree Fontaine was still inside it, choosing something from one of the chests from the looks of it. He was getting rather bored but he also didn't want to miss out in case anything interesting happened.

SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING chose the pocket watch and took some time walking down the tower and taking the exit that took her directly to the grounds. It was the quickest way to go, all things considered. She started to walk west. Thankfully nothing attacked her yet, but the night was still young.
((SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING If you want to use the pocket watch, that will take up a turn so she cannot travel and use it at the same time. Also, her location is a bit further, so continue walking west in her next post.))
HENRI FONTAINE went south-east and walked into a field. There was nothing there, so he would need to choose a different direction or keep walking in the same one.

Ares found three items in the chest and grabbed the pocket watch. He put it in his cloak because he would want to be holding his wand all the time. He would see what the pocket watch was for later, he supposed. He tried to grab the necklace, knowing that he wasn't supposed to, but he didn't care. It wouldn't budge, though. Ugh. He tried the pocket mirror too. Well, they thought of everything, he thought. He shrugged it off and left the Osservatorio.
