Ivy knew she needed to tread carefully from now on. A few years ago, she would not have been able to cope with this interaction. She had been shy and unprovokative, and painfully gullible. She had learnt that not everyone was always good-natured. Not every situation could be fixed by being friendly. But she hadn’t lost her moral compass
There was something that she didn’t like in Levi’s expression. It was different from the Levi she knew before, something had gotten into him over the holidays, something nasty. “New you huh?” she said, hoping it wasn’t the case. “That’s not what I said. I was referring to the fact that you shot a stunning spell at me, but fair enough I guess. You didn’t know who it was. Confidence doesn’t make you a bad person, I never said that.”
She saw the handle of his wand get drawn out of his pocket. “Come on, let’s not draw wands. We both know that won’t end well.” Ivy wasn’t quite sure who Levi was anymore, but he certainly wasn’t stupid. Landing someone in hospital would be a bad idea for both of them, and she could still feel where she hit her head on the floor. “I am not saying your parents are dark wizards.” She said carefully.
“No, I’m not generally the type to look up dark magic in my spare time,” she frowned. She stared at the piece of paper and for a little while, had nothing to say. “Then no, the potion isn’t dark magic if it’s being used for good. Unless the ingredients are sourced in wildly inhumane ways. But my point still stands, dark arts by its very nature can be used to hurt people.” she said, trying not to provoke him. “But alright, let’s hear your take. What do you think of it?” It was not unlike Ivy to treat a potentially dangerous interaction down an alleyway as if it was some sort of research meeting. As if they didn’t have wands that could be drawn at any moment. LEVI HILFIGER

Following his father’s personality traits didn’t seem to be working much in Levi’s favour though none the less, he continued to gloat about his so called new personality much to the dislike of others around him. Levi wasn’t always like this but after discovering his true calling, wondered if others would be accepting of his new personality change.
“ I’m willing to drop this all if you apologise for calling my parents dark wizards. “ Partially, Ivy was right about it herwords. His parents had practised dark arts on the regular interval not only on him for learning purposes but also so that Levi would understand the effects of using particular dark magic spells.
“ My reasoning to explore this field of magic is none of your concern really Ivy. “ He took a step back slowly just in case Ivy decided to throw a spell at him. “IVY DUCK!” Levi suddenly called out as a fire ball came flying toward her from a different direction followed by another fire ball shortly after.
” You need to get out of here!” He yelled out to Ivy as he tried to locate the source of who was sending fireballs their way. “ Move!” He yelled out again as he just managed to block a fire ball coming at the only to find his black robes singed from the heat.
Ivy blinked, confused. When had she even said that? “Levi, can you listen at all? I’m not calling your parents dark wizards, sorry if it came across that way.” Gosh, he seemed very adamant about it. Which would be understandable had Ivy actually accused his parents of such a thing. She sighed, clearly this wasn’t going anywhere useful.
She guessed it was fair enough to not want to disclose anything. After all, if Ivy had been caught wandering around Knockturn Alley, she would also be reluctant to explain. She had to admit he had a point, it wasn’t any of her concern really. She was thinking about how to respond when she instinctively dropped to the floor at Levi’s exclamation. Bright fiery flashes narrowly missed her, and she gasped. What in Merlin’s best underwear was going on?
She covered her face with her hands as a fireball flew towards Levi, but luckily he didn’t seem to be struck by it. “Protego!” she shouted desperately, creating a shield that blocked a couple of the missiles. She ran as fast as she could; this was no time to argue with him. When he didn’t follow, she shouted, “Come on!”. As tense as their interaction had been, she didn’t want to see him get burnt to a crisp. There wasn’t enough time… LEVI HILFIGER

His blood ran through his body as he felt the adrenaline rushing through him all at the same time. The realisation that they were being targeted and not just that, but also being attacked almost felt too real. “ We need to go now. “ He said as he whipped his wand in the air casting a protective charm over them as he noticed another spell flying toward them.
The impact of the spells hitting the shield charm causing a muffled tone to echo around them. “ Okay, here’s the plan. “ He said as he looked at Ivy. It was already evident that they were facing more than one person this time. A cruel prank of sorts. “ I’ll stun, you run. Got it? “ He said as he looked through his protective shield to notice three bodies in the distance. Unidentifiable with their faces but their humanoid figure gave him some sort of hope.
“ GO!” He lowered his wand as he yelled out a simple stunning spell. “Stupefy!” A red bolt blasted from the tip of his wand knocking out two of the three with one dodging the attack. “Do you know who I am?” He yelled as he shot a few more of the stunning spells in the direction of the third person.
“ Ivy run!” He yelled once more as he whipped his wand in the air blasting a hole through one of the brick walls revealing a little passage way for her and Levi to escape. “Bombarda!” He yelled as he pointed his wand at the hooded figure before them which caused some of the wooden creates to explode leaving a trail of dust before them. “Fumos!” He then whispered hoping the smokescreen spell would protect him and Ivy during their escape.
Ivy could feel her heart in her chest, tight and panicked. She gripped her wand tightly and tried to control her breathing. She nodded, watching him cast a rather impressive shield charm over them. It was well cast, but she knew it wouldn’t last forever. Whoever was chasing them would not wait.
She listened to the plan, nervously watching the protective charm that was hanging over them shake as numerous spells hit it. Her brow furrowed. She knew Levi was good at magic, but would he really be able to fend off multiple wizards or witches who could be much older and more experienced? “But what if there are loads of them? You’ll just get killed -“ she began, but it was too late.
There was no longer any time to argue. She just ran. Protecting her head with her hands, she ran to the passageway Levi had blasted. It was dark, but it looked like it might lead out of Knockturn Alley. She looked back; two of the figures had been taken care of but one remained. Ivy warred with herself. She could run as Levi had instructed, but she wasn’t sure how many people he still had to fight off.”What am I doing?” she said to herself as she ran back. “Flipendo!” she yelled, pointing her wand at the figure. ”Come on!” she said, scrambling towards the passageway as Levi cast the smoke screen.
”Thank you.” she said, looking at Levi. After all, he’d done most of the fighting. They might not be safe yet though. “Will this take us out?” she asked, looking down the passage. LEVI HILFIGER

” Incendio! “ He called out as he twirled his wand in the air once more as he shot a few of his own fireballs toward the the one person who was a nifty little foe. It was to his surprise that his fire balls weren’t orange but a dark blue. A tall tell sign that his allegiance and magic capabilities has grown . The dark blue flames also reflecting the same type of dark blue spell his father was capable of producing wandless.
“They won’t hurt me. “ He replied as he began deflecting a spell that was being shot at him. He deflected the spells back at the nifty foe who certainly seemed capable of holding a duel quite well. “ Dad’s gonna kill you.” He whispered as he began twirling his wand shooting a volley of fire balls illuminating the passageway both Ivy and Levi were in.
It was as if he had taken one step forward and three steps back when two more nifty friends appeared. It was now here when Levi started to have a little bit of panic strike him. Taking down one dark wizard seemed simple enough but taking down three was going to be a challenge what took him by surprise was when Ivy called out a spell.
Looking behind him, he saw Ivy was the one who cast the flipendo spell which seemed to take care of one oft them at least. “ We’ll find an exit later but right now, I need you duel with me. “ He said taking stance with his wand ready waiting to see the next action.
Ivy rolled her eyes, thankful that Levi was too busy casting blue flames to see. Sure, a group of mysterious figures shooting fireballs at them both wouldn’t hurt him. Although her patience was running short and she was still pretty scared, she had to admit his magical prowess was pretty impressive. She had never seen someone cast blue fireballs before.
“Kill me? What did I do?” she questioned. Besides following someone into Knockturn Alley, she didn’t think she’d really done anything else morally wrong. Yes, she’d made a bit of a stupid decision, but no more than the other had. Still, the whole situation didn’t make sense. Where had those people come from? Why had they been attacked? As she thought more, something clicked in her head. A nagging feeling that she didn’t like very much.
They had turned up after she arrived. She had a hunch this was not Levi’s first time down Knockturn Alley, and she assumed this had never happened before. Maybe the reason Levi’s dad was going to “kill her” was simply because she was there, a threat to whatever was going on under all this. “You said they won’t hurt you. Does that mean they were after me? Did I put us in danger?” Is this all my fault? was the underlying question in Ivy’s head.
“What?” Ivy stared, dumbfounded. That was the last thing she expected him to say. Hadn’t they just escaped those people? Had a brush with death? “W-why?” she asked. She should’ve just minded her own business. This took the biscuit for the worst ideal she had ever had. LEVI HILFIGER

“Depulso!” He yelled out as a wave force blasted from the tip of his wand targeted at one of the crates that was near by hoping to smash it into one of the nifty dark wizards ahead of them. “ Not you Ivy. “ He responded hoping to clear up his words. “ I meant them!” He staggered as he waiting for the next move. They were nimble which added that extra bit of suspense in what they were trying to achieve. Stay alive.
“Duck!” He called out as a blasting curse came flying over his head and hopefully in extension, over Ivy’s head too. “ They won’t hurt me because they don’t know who I am yet and no they’re not after you. “ He explained quickly readying himself for the next attack. “Stupefy!” He yelled out once again before trying to target the enemies.
“ Okay, we need a back up plan. Have you got any ideas? “ His mind began ticking about different scenarios. Right now, they had no other option but to fight but it almost seemed impractical considering just how quick the others were.
