7 KNUTS
WEREWOLF IN LONDON
After the escape of the 'Reaper', Adam Van Vilet, the Minstry immensely increased the amount of guards that were patrolling the island, around the clock. The amount of grindylows also was increased and merpeople were brought in and told to protect the island at all costs. But even that doesn't seem like it's enough anymore.
Everyone thought they were done with the notorious Fenrir Greyback. After the battle of Hogwarts, he was imprisoned along with the other surviving Death Eaters. However, during the last full moon, Greyback went on a wild rampage and broke out of his cell, killing half the guards and escaping into the sea.
The following morning, the surviving guards found more than three dozen dead corpses of merpeople and grindylows on the beach. Greyback was no where to be seen. However, after future investigation, werewolf tracks were found on the beach of the nearest land. Greyback was nowhere to be found.
With the escape of Greyback, Thawley has stated that it's time to get rid of the guards and the water creatures and go back to old ways. There has been no comment whether or not this means he will broker a deal with the Dementors once more, but one can only assume, which has stirred up controversy within the Ministry.

FIREBOLT ENGLAND: FLIGHT OR FLOP? The newest broom from the Firebolt line is the Firebolt England. It’s quite patriotic looking as it sports the English flag quite proudly. Unfortunately, it comes up a bit short of their last model with top speeds at only 170mph instead of the previous 180mph. It’s also more expensive than their last model at 32 Galleons. Are those extra Galleons simply paying for a fancy paint job? Was their aim to make a patriotic collectable due to the war or were they just trying to get another broom out there to keep up the interest in their brand with the other new brooms hitting the shelves? Will the flag make it a collectable or will it just end up being a flop? We at the Daily Prophet are very interested to see how this broom fairs against its more cost effective and less patriotic competition! | KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON Since the war started over a year ago, England has lost 40 witches and wizards to skirmishes and attacks from the Italians. 12 more deaths are assumed to be committed by the Italians, though this has not been proven. We caution you to be very vigilant in your daily activities as the amount of attacks are increasing. The Ministry was unable to comment whether they think it's the Italians or Nero. Since her display of the famous Hermione Granger in Diagon Alley in September, the Ministry has been unable to comment whether or not they think Giovanna is indeed an independent party from the war between Britain and Italy. |
