Lottie had decided she would try out for Quidditch next term after all. She could have earlier. She was pretty good and both her parents were professional players, so she had been exposed to it nearly all her life. She couldn't remember a time when she didn't know about Quidditch.
She knew that she probably had a chance at getting in, or at least for the junior team for sure. But she wanted to do well! So she knew she had to be in shape. She would definitely keep working out during the summer too, but she wanted to start now, since the weather was nicer.
Lottie decided to go on a run around the lake and that was exactly what she was doing right now. She didn't expect to see anyone also running and fell into a relaxing pace as she jogged around the black lake.

Slipping out of the dorms was easy enough. No one would miss him. Noa was just horribly tired of staring at words upon words and smelling all the ink and parchment that came with assignments, it wasn't like he was behind. The young wizard stretched as he walked, wincing as his back cracked from being hunched over all day, and headed for the lake.
A quick run would always be good. Get that adrenaline pumping. He stretched as he got there, rolling his ankles absently. He basked in the air momentarily before taking off in a steady jog. It had been a while since his last run. He'd have plenty of time to himself. Everyone was probably studying anyway.

Lottie was starting her jog when she saw someone else coming up to her on the same path, but going in the opposite direction. It was someone younger than her, she thought. Did she know him? She wasn't sure.
She kept going on her way and they did a full circle, crossing paths yet again. That was when she turned around and starting jogging with him. "Hey, do you mind? We could jog together. Unless you want to do it alone." That was always a possibility. Sometimes people liked the solitude of a good jog.
