The cold January morning bit sharply in the young boy's lungs as he walked through the snow as it fell from the heavens. His body wrapped tightly in his cloak as he left shallow prints in the snow beneath his feet as he tried to remember where he was going. His hands were hidden inside as his sleeves were held shut at their ends by thick safety pins. He looked about and sighed, stopping near a tree to get his bearings. Slowly, he slid down the tree and sat at it's base before hanging his head in defeat. Quinn was lost, and to make matters worse, had no idea where he was even supposed to be.
With a shrug, he slunk further down into his robe, pulling his hood up over the opening his neck would normally be through as he used the little light through the small holes in the cloak to read a book. The cloak was lined in fur, so he was warm enough, but he sat there reading his book, getting lost in his own little world as he tried to figure out his potions homework. Sure, he had a lot of classes, but he was here because he had magical ability. Where he wanted to hone his talents and learn new spells, the potions work fascinated him with the possibility of using ingredients to cause effects far different from spells.
After some time, Quinn realized he was getting cold. His book was placed back in his shoulder bag before he stood. His head pushed up through the hole above him and found itself nestled in his hood as he looked about. The snow was far deeper and still coming down as he looked around. If nothing else, he was far more lost now than he had been earlier. His body wasn't necessarily cold, but colder than when he had sat down. The bigger issue he found was that he wanted food, snacks at the very least. The snow crunched below his feet as he stepped in circles, realizing once again that he was indeed lost.

It was cold but Blaise wanted to go for a walk so he wore his winter cloak on top of his robes and brought a backpack with a few things just in case and walked out toward the lake. He didn't trust it to be frozen enough to go on and he definitely didn't want to fall in. So instead, he took a walk around part of the lake. It was there that he saw one of his classmates looking a little confused. They were around the bend, a little far away from the castle.
"Hey, Quinn! You okay?" he called out to his friend. He walked over to him a little quicker, despite the cold. He had some snacks in case Quinn was hungry, though eating out in the cold wasn't ideal.
