Once Desiree finished preparing all of her ingredients for the potion, she began brewing, following the instructions provided carefully. Potion making was an art in itself, and she knew how disastrous results could be if one diverted from a recipe, particularly considering she did not recognize the potion they were brewing.
CALVIN KLEIN walked forward and suddenly found himself in quicksand! He would have to think fast to get out of it.
((For every 6 real hours he's in the Quicksand, he takes 1 damage. Timer being from when this was posted.))
((TOBIAS ALVAREZ forgot to add before and I wanted to make sure you saw this, so hence the tag in a different post - If he doesn't end the spell on him, he'll need to wait 6 hours between posts for the rest of the Task. Not from after I update but between your own posts.))

Tobias groaned as he felt his legs feeling like jelly. He couldn't walk in this condition. So he cast finite on himself and hoped that would do the trick. He really did not relish the thought of having to walk like this for the entire task.

Finding himself in quicksand was not exactly what he had hoped to achieve but alas, there he was. With his heart racing, Calvin twirled his wand in the air as he called out a spell. Ascendio! He hoped this spell would release him from the quick sand or he had to try another spell.

What was happening? Silvia didn't feel any spell hit her, didn't notice any creature appear, but she was suddenly unable to move. Not even the smallest muscle obeyed her. The effect was very much the same as that of Immobulus she cast at the Billywigs so recently. How long was this going to take? Was she supposed to find a way to break out of this paralysis? She was beginning to panic. Non-verbal magic was difficult, but she would need to perform it wandlessly as well, since her wand was currently aimed away from her body. In her mind, she was shouting Finite Incantatem - over and over again. It wasn't working.
Silvia was getting frustrated and anxious. Would she need to rely on the good will of her opponents to unfreeze her? That didn't seem likely to happen, not when this task was so straightforwardly reliant on one's speed. Would Ares do anything to assist her? She scoffed mentally at the thought. Although he kept flirting with her, Silvia doubted the one-sided affability would continue during the task. He wanted to win as much as she did, and he was possibly her most serious competitor; after all, he completed the first task mere minutes after she did, and currently he was close enough to overtake her - especially now that she couldn't move. And she hadn't exactly reciprocated his attempts at seduction, either - every time he approached, she tried to extricate herself from the interaction. Perhaps she should have chatted and smiled more, just enough to keep him friendly... Well, too late for that.
Who else was there? Desiree might help as a way of returning the favour for the first task, although Silvia wasn't too hopeful. Just a few moments before being frozen she had spotted Desiree begin brewing the potion, and it would take a while before it was completed. And even then, the aid might not come. Leaving Silvia frozen was the logical choice for the other champions...
Then, just as suddenly as the immobilizing effect started, it came to an end. Silvia could move again, and so she did.

While Desiree knew speed was of the utmost importance in this task, she also made sure to take the necessary time to properly brew the potion, hoping to avoid any unnecessary side effects. That didn’t mean she wasn’t impatiently tapping her foot the whole time, willing the process to speed up. Finally, after much stirring and waiting as everything settled into place, the potion was complete and ready for consumption. She downed it in one shot, her face contorting into a grimace at the taste. She waited for something to happen and… nothing. Desiree did not understand what was the purpose of that potion, but hopefully she would discover it later on in the task.

Entering the new square, she was prepared to fend off an attack... but nothing happened to her. Perhaps this was the potion finally at work, giving her some good luck. It didn't really resemble Felix Felicis, though; she still had no real idea as to how the potion worked. Still, at least she could keep going without fighting every step of the way.

Waiting to be his turn, and as soon as he arrived, Henri did not hesitate to rush to prepare the potion. He was focused on trying to move the task forward. But having arrived late, one could say that Henri was clearly at a disadvantage and he did not like that. So he would have to put all his effort into trying to pass that task. He was in one of the last positions, and had to start preparing the ingredients, trying hard to remember everything they had said. At this time, Henri devoted all his attention to preparing the ingredients, cautiously observing the list to see that he was taking the right ones. This was the easiest part, of course.

SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING was hit with Jelly-Legs Jinx! She would have to wait 30 seconds to move to each area (6 real hours between posts) until she got rid of the jinx.
CALVIN KLEIN went left when he escaped the quicksand, not exactly going forward towards the end. Now he was facing the side and everyone else was facing the right direction. He also was at the edge of the area, on the left furthest area. But more importantly, there was no obstacle where he was.
((If he goes right, he would go 'forward' because he's facing left right now. Or you can just say he turned to face the way everyone else was and then went forward.))
((HENRI FONTAINE make sure to say what position you're in. There are 1-12. Others are currently in 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 so please choose a different one.))

Ares was lucking out so far, but he looked around and it didn't seem the same for everyone else. Though it did seem rather scattered and random. Some people were having obstacles, others weren't, then it would switch. He tentatively went forward, assuming that his luck was probably running out.
