Billywigs again! That was the last thing Silvia needed just now. Almost any other obstacle she'd seen in this task would have been more welcome. If stung, she would get confused and then there was no telling what she might do. She could even start going back by accident, thinking she was progressing forward.
Silvia raised her wand. "Immobulus!" It had worked once, and hopefully it would save her again.

Getting stung by the Billywig after failing his spell was a bit of a shock for Calvin. The result meant that Calvin was acting stranger than he normally would. Taking a step forward, he took a deep breath and tried to stabilise himself. He hoped the effects would wear off soon as he knew this would affect his chances of winning this round.

ARES CRIVELLI went forward but took 2 damage from the fire as he got more scorched from it. He found no obstacle as he reached the quicksand that was absorbed by SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING's key.
SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING was successful and the Billywigs were not able to sting anyone else.

Relieved to see another swarm of insects frozen, Silvia lowered her wand. She walked out of the area, careful not to touch any stingers - she didn't know if any of the venom could be injected through mere contact, without the Billywig purposefully attacking, but finding out did not seem tempting. Once clear of the swarm, she continued forward.

SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING went forward and left the area behind her. Up ahead was the large Sapphire. All she had to do was grab it and she would be done the task!
CALVIN KLEIN tried to go right but a large wall appeared in front of him, blocking his path. Left or forward?

Ares was hurt but thankfully the next area was clear. He could have stopped to heal a bit, but he thought he would press onward. He continued walking forward, wand in hand in case he needed it. Though it did seem that not all the obstacles even required a spell.

The sight of the blue gemstone made Silvia's heart leap. This was it, she was a mere step away from winning the second task. She approached the sapphire warily, considering the possibility that it was just another trap. That would be just cruel. After a moment's hesitation, she reached out to take the stone.

Desiree suddenly felt her legs go wobbly as if she’d been hit with a spell. She looked around wildly, seeking the source of this magic, but she couldn’t see any other competitor around her. This must have been part of the challenge then. Aiming her wand at her legs, she cast, “Finite Incantatem,” hoping that would stop the jinx and allow her to keep up her pace through the course.

ARES CRIVELLI went forward and found himself entangled in some Devil's Snare. It did seem a little injured but it was still able to grab on to him. He would have to try and get away.
((+10% to any spells due to it being injured by Silvia - If Ares is able to defeat it, then this Devil's Snare will actually be defeated.))
SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING grabbed the Sapphire and finished the Task! She was escorted out to the Tent for a little while, while the judges deliberated on her score. Eventually she was brought back out to sit and watch the task with everyone else once her score was announced.

Ares got tangled in Devil's Snare. Ugh, ugh, ugh... He tried to think what he could do. Not Lumos, no... Despite his previous experience with fire, he guessed that would be the best case. "Incendio!" he exclaimed as he shot a few small flames at different parts of the Devil's Snare, hoping it would free him. He tried to make the flames smaller so they wouldn't get him as well.

The wall that popped up in front of him took him by surprise. He wasn't expecting a wall to just pop out of no where. With only two choices to pick from, Calvin decided to go forward.

The spell wasn’t successful and her legs remained wobbly. “Merde,” she muttered under her breath, tapping her wand on her leg as if it would somehow correct her wand, or punish it for not working as intended. Perhaps she had simply not used the correct spell? Desiree sighed, she didn’t have time to keep trying. She needed to try and advance further to catch up to the other competitors.

Tobias didn't want to follow after the champion that hadn't even acknowledged him and had not done anything to help put out the flames, so he went to the left.

Having received her score and gratefully accepted a Healer's help for her injured ankle, Silvia was escorted to the spectator stands. She joined her schoolmates, and spent some time responding to their congratulations that were far less restrained than last time. Although she had just barely started attending Dahshur before becoming its champion in Dodeca, which had caused some bitterness from the other members of the school's delegation, winning two tasks seemed to placate the envy.
Once everyone settled down again - after some hushing by their professors, who reminded them that Azra was still in the field, as welll as ten other champions - Silvia could focus on watching the task. Ares was close to the finish line, bound to end up being second to complete the challenge. Just like last time. Calvin was about half-way through the field, and the others were still quite far behind. Most had still not even started, which made Silvia wonder how long her own dash through the obstacle course took. It felt like forever to her, but it was probably just some minutes.
