So far so good. There was nothing in this area again and Ares was getting close. He could see the sapphire up ahead. He kept walking forward again. Soon this task would be over but the only one that really mattered was the third and final task. Ares wouldn't be afraid to do whatever it took to win.

It was amusing to see Tobias and Calvin both freeze at almost the same time, even though they were some distance apart. Both of them were competing for the third place in this task, because the second one was sure to go to Ares.
Silvia wasn't sure how much of his speedy progression was due to luck, and how much due to his wits. After all, for most of the task Ares had been following right behind her as she cleared the obstacles that stood in her way, so they no longer hindered him. How well would he do once that was not a viable tactic anymore? But he did complete the previous challenge quickly as well, and she hadn't been inadvertently helping him there... Was he purposefully evading the spotlight of completing the two less important tasks first, so nobody would focus on him as the main contender?
The paranoid thoughts were beginning to irk her. She hoped it was all just Ares' luck, which would hopefully run out before the third task started.

After thawing out of the ice, Calvin feeling very cold hoped the next thing he encountered would be a bunch of hot coco to heat him up. Taking a cautious step forward, he hoped it would be a calm but short stay.

In a way, having been too focused on his own world with the potion, Henri didn’t even realize how long others were ahead. He cursed at the bottom, having finished the potion and proceeding to take it. Now he had to make a kind of race where he would have to face those obstacles. Interestingly, he wasn’t nervous. He was more concerned about the delay he was in, but he could trust himself in his ability to end up in the same position as them.
Notes: Yes he started last, in 12th. Now he'll start going straight. TAGGING: Open

Silvia hoped she would get a significant headstart in the next task. Winning the first two wouldn't matter if she failed the third one. And some of her competitors posed quite a threat. She watched all of them progress forward, trying to study the way they acted when an obstacle appeared. Most chose to fight, but sometimes pushing past it seemed to be the preferred method. Risking injury for the sake of speed... should she also do that in the final challenge, or should she stick to her trusty style of combating everything in her way? Perhaps there would be more hints to find, with answers as to which strategy would be more suitable for the finale.

ARES CRIVELLI went forward and found no obstacle because he was surrounded by unmoving, but floating, Billywigs. He was at the end of the task and now had to grab the blue sapphire.
CALVIN KLEIN went forward and found himself quickly sinking into quicksand!
((He will lose 1 HP for every 6 real hours he's in the quicksand.))
TOBIAS ALVAREZ tried to go right but a large wall came up in front of of him. Forward?

Finding himself in quicksand was not an easy option nor nothing he expected. Quick thinking mattered. Whipping out his wand, he tried again with another spell. " Ascendio! " He called out this time directing his positioning forward.

His first attempt failed, this time he tried again calling out the same spell hoping it would work. Ascendio! He called out aiming forward again hoping to somewhat move forward

Well the positive side was that he got out of the quicksand. Unable to go forward due to a wall nor was he able to go left. His only option was now to go right.
