Welcome to TB, an all levels Harry Potter roleplay with no word count. Our purpose is to go through the books with one exception: the addition of original characters and what changes that makes.
We accept all beings and creatures in the Harry Potter verse including ghosts, veela, muggles and even centaur.
We have many active events ongoing for both students and adults and many characters and locations around the world.
Come join us and discover how your character can grow and evolve in the world of Harry Potter.
They see that the maze is a little bit like a pyramid in the sense that each floor is smaller than the one below it. So the top floor is the smallest, middle is a little bigger, and the lowest floor (the one everyone is on right now) is the largest one. This is width and length wise, not height wise.
Everyone outside the maze can see everyone inside just fine. But those inside, the more walls between you and someone, the less you can see them. So just DM me if there's something happening to another Champion and you want to know if your character would react to it or not.
The entrances are stairs. So they technically are about 17 ft in the air, so they stick out from the bottom of the mazes. To get to the top levels, you just need to find stairs going upwards. When you find some stairs, I will tell you if they go up or down.
We're not going to have super strict rules on successes of Champion vs. Champion conflict. Just work that out yourself without powerplaying/godmodding. But if you do get attacked and don't reply for 24 hours, then you will be hit and take some damage. And depending on what happens in the attack, even if you do reply on time, you or both of you might take some damage. I'll post how much, which will be up to my discretion (I'd imagine somewhere between 1-3 HP in most cases. But if someone lost a leg or something, it would definitely be more). ))

Ares was just getting started and peering down each pathway to see if he could tell which was the best one. He really couldn't. But then there was another Champion, and yet another one, right on his tail. And then they were beside him. This was not okay! He quickly shot a spell at CALVIN KLEIN and then ran off towards the forward pathway. "Pulsus!"

Silvia could see vague blurry shapes some distance off. She wondered if those were some large creatures waiting to ambush champions. Or perhaps it was the other champions themselves. But why would they be in a cluster? Had they formed an alliance? A part of her immediately regretted not suggesting the same idea to Calvin and Desiree, like she had considered doing. A duo or a trio could defeat the obstacles much faster. But then, how would they decide when to separate? Too many complications had occurred to her, and she eventually decided against it. Hopefully, those shapes she saw weren't all together. As she watched, one of them began moving away quickly. If that was a champion, it was good news - this wasn't an alliance, then. If it was some creature, though... she hoped not to encounter anything that could move that fast.
Distracted while trying to guess what she was seeing, Silvia was startled by the Fire Crab that appeared out of nowhere. How did one fight these things? She didn't remember any specific defense against them, so she went for a general one that worked against most living beings.

Desiree quickly made her way over to the maze, finding the closest entrance. Upon closer inspection she noticed there were stairs leading up to the maze, but they were still suspended in the air high enough that she would need a spell to get up there. Grabbing her wand out of her robe pocket, she cast a quick “Ascendio!”, launching herself upwards towards the left most entrance to the maze. The landing was a bit harder than she had expected, but she managed to remain on her feet and make it up the few steps to the actual entrance.

"Protego!" He called out deflecting the spell Aries shot. It almost happened to quickly and lucky his reflexes got the better of him deflecting the spell away. He was about to shoot a spell back when he noticed that he was gone. Instead of trailing behind him, he decided that to change it all up and change directions and went left.
- Goes left

The sudden change in pathway caught him off guard. The slight movements disorientated him slightly but once finding his bearings, decided to head right.
- Goes right

Ares didn't have to walk for long before he was blocked by a boggart. It seemed to suddenly spring into being, as it was completely unknown what it looked like before being observed. It was a very large quill. Ares didn't have time to think on it much, but it probably represented how he was afraid of having a boring job at an office, writing reports or something. He wanted to be where the action was.
He didn't waste time in trying to fight it. "Riddikulus!" He tried to imagine it turning into a noodle.

Desiree found herself at a fork in the road, having seemingly started at the far left of the maze. She decided to head straight, hoping for better luck in this task than she had in the previous two.

Every time she had to make a choice, it was becoming more difficult to stick to the original plan. What if she took too much time exploring the maze that way? By now, most of the champions must be in here, too. They could reach the goal faster by sheer luck, while she took the safer, longer path. Trying to suppress self-doubt, she made another choice.
