The adrenaline distracted him from the uncomfort of the tearing. Perhaps he couldn't last the entire game but he could still case the Gryffindors some damage before he went out. A second bludger, perfect. Now just aim it at the redhaired chaser without hitting Henri who was close.

From a distance, Henri could see Lewis aiming a bludger at what he thought at first was him. He nudged Rose once more before deciding to fly in a different direction so that he would miss the bludger that was now flying toward rose. Now, a safe distance away, he paused to catch his breath as he waited to go in for the quaffle should rose had of dropped it.

The instant Rose snatched the Quaffle, Don whooped and raised his poster into the air. This was exactly how he'd hoped the game would go! Admittedly, it had only just started - but he was still feeling optimistic.
Always aware of Bludgers, he glimpsed a Hufflepuff Beater sending one towards Rose - or at least it looked like she could be the target. Momentarily forgetting that she was about to attempt scoring, Don searched the field for Gryffindor Beaters. He hadn't seen either of them play yet, but surely they were good enough to not let any of their teammates get hit at the very start of the game...
As a rival Chaser began pestering Rose, the Slytherin turned his attention back to her. It didn't seem like the Hufflepuff boy was much bigger or older than her, so Don was almost certain she would be fine. Chasers vied for the Quaffle all the time; as long as they did so without breaking rules, there usually were no injuries.

Thalia found that whatever was happening out in the pitch was not nearly as captivating as Calvin's methods of reacting to it. He didn't appear to understand what was happening, at least judging by how he timed his cheers... but he was certainly happy to be there, even more so than some Gryffindor and Hufflepuff spectators who had the highest stakes in the game.
The fact that he didn't seem to remember ever meeting her threw Thalia off a little. Hadn't he specifically asked for her and Ella's names so he could remember them, after they answered his queries on the train? She blinked, shaking the confusion off. Should she be offended? Perhaps not. He was a new student and probably met dozens of new people in the last few months - one twelve-year-old he'd spoken to for a minute wouldn't stand out that much. Might as well play along and see what else this strange teen would come up with.
"I'm Thalia Burke. Nice to meet you, Calvin," she replied with a grin. "Have you really never watched a Quidditch game before?" His behaviour certainly corroborated the statement, but she still couldn't believe anyone would be so into an activity they had no understanding of. "It helps if you watch the Quaffle - that big scarlet ball the Gryffindor girl is holding. Most of the game centers around scoring goals with it." Thalia considered elucidating about the Bludgers and the Snitch, but decided to first see how well Calvin digested the initial explanation. Maybe he was just messing around and actually knew all the rules well.

Jack was pretty nervous about this game, though he refused to show it. This was his chance to prove he knew what he was doing even though he didn’t have much Quidditch experience. He had been practicing his beating as often as he could and put a lot of effort into his training. It brought him great enjoyment, and he realised it was probably the closest thing he was going to get to playing soccer with his mates.
He spotted a bludger being hit towards their seeker, Gavyn. Jack raced towards the metal ball and gave his bat a hearty swing, hitting it away. No sooner had he done that than he saw the other bludger flying towards their chaser, Rose. Exhaling, he began to fly towards the other end of the pitch in case the other beater didn’t make it in time.
-saved Gavyn-

Phoebe’s eyes narrowed as she observed the game from the goalposts. She refused to take her eye off the Quaffle for even a second, although it was down the other end of the pitch in the capable hands of Rose Weasley. This was good, they would hopefully be able to get a goal in. That is, if that Hufflepuff chaser stopped bugging their chaser and she didn’t get hit by a bludger.

Lisa watched keenly as the players rose into the air. She was no longer on a Quidditch team and part of her regretted that. But, with all that had been going on, she didn’t think she would have been able to manage the commitment. She watched Henri, on the heels of the Gryffindor chaser. Maybe he would make her drop the Quaffle. She was a bit nervous about Lewis playing. She knew he would probably be fine, but he wasn’t supposed to be playing for a while. Hopefully it would all be okay.

It was only when Rose had almost reached the Hufflepuff hoops that one of their chasers finally caught up to her. She was used to the Slytherin team’s tactics of brute force, so his bumps were quite gentle in comparison. The soft nudge did nothing to loosen her grip on the quaffle, but she did push back with her shoulder in retaliation. Shortly after that the chaser moved further away, and Rose figured he’d gotten the message, so continued to the hoops. Once she finally got close enough, she deked out the opposing keeper and aimed the quaffle towards the middle hoop.

Lia silently cheered on Henri as he attempted to grab the quaffle from the Gryffindor chaser, but it seemed it was not to be as he eventually gave up, allowing Rose to make it to the goal posts. Her heart was pounding, her palms sweaty, as she hovered in front of the hoops. She tried to follow the chaser’s movement as she went one way, then another, moving as fast as she could with hands outstretched to block the quaffle flying towards the goal.

Lewis' head start wasquickly caught up by the Gryffindors. To his annoyance because he didn't know how long he could actually play before injuring himself. Still he had to keep fighting so he flung his bat to the bludger

Jack breathed a sigh of relief as the bludger was knocked away from Rose by Phoenix, only to have to fly in the opposite direction again as a bludger went towards Gavyn once more. “I thought I just got rid of that one” he muttered, whacking the bludger across the pitch. At least this wasn’t going to get boring anytime soon, he thought, and smiled.
