Now in close proximity to the goals, Henri threw the quaffle to try and earn his house some points. Taking aim, Henri threw the quaffle toward the goal posts.

Levi continued to watch closely as the competition started to heat up. He could feel the suspense and the gasps for air whenever the Quaffle was aimed at the goalposts. Two attempts made by Gryffindor had him excited followed by one quaffle mid air which caused him to take note of that section rather than the beaters in the field. Surely someone had to score at some point as he quickly tried to find the seekers and see if there was any movement with them.

Calvin almost froze in place as he listened to what Thalia had to say. “ Why is your name so familiar? And your face too. Your face looks like a face I’ve seen before. “ He replied as he lowered his wand and pompom from the air. “ Have we met before? “ It almost seemed impossible for them to have classes together and she looked a lot younger than he did.
He stared at her face long and hard trying to find a memory but wasn’t able to attach one. “ Nah I’ve never seen a game live before. “ He replied as he began cheering once again when nothing was happening causing the other people in the crowd to look at him to which he didn’t care.
The game had moved so fast that by the time he looked at what Thalia was talking about, the quaffle was mid air flying toward the Gryffindor posts. “ Ohh I get it. “ He said as he began to scratch his chin. “ So the guy in the yellow has to pass it over to the guy blocking the the rings on the tall stick things? Does the person blocking it then give it to someone in red afte? Do they take turns? “ He asked still trying to understand it all.

Phoebe sighed. Although it was disappointing to not score, she was proud of her teammates for taking possession of the Quaffle so quickly. Lia sure was a good keeper for someone who didn’t normally play keeper. She was surprised at how quickly everything changed though, as the Quaffle got closer and closer to her in the hands of a Hufflepuff chaser. Eyes narrowing in concentration, she tried her best to stop the ball from going in the hoops.

Thalia contrived to look puzzled when Calvin noted that her name and face were familiar to him. "Really? Hmm, I don't know, you're certainly not in any of my classess..." It was a struggle to sustain the feigned pondering for too long, or she would risk letting out a burst of laughter. The girl made her features suddenly brighten up, as though she'd remembered something. "Wait, didn't we meet on the train?"
As they spoke, the game was progressing quickly. Quidditch rules were simple and easy to grasp. Thalia had known them since she was around six, and by now could name dozens of game-specific moves and tactics as well. But explaining it to a person who has never watched Quidditch before was unexpectedly complicated, especially since he was asking convoluted questions. She tried to unravel his words, but couldn't be certain if she understood his query correctly.
"Um... the guys in yellow would only pass the ball to other guys in yellow, and do their best to keep it from the guys in red," she stated, trying to use the same vocabulary as Calvin. "The person at the goalposts - the tall stick things - is the Keeper, and their job is to block the Quaffle from going through their hoops. So the yellow guy will throw it at the goalposts behind the red Keeper, and hope that the red one doesn't catch it." How was it so complex to explain such a simple game? They were still stuck on the Quaffle part! Thalia was beginning to worry that adding Bludgers and the Snitch into the mix would confuse Calvin even further.

The pace of the game was picking up, at least. Eyes turned away from the pitch, Olivia watched a bunch of Gryffindor spectators become momentarily excited, then suddenly disappointed. And now the Hufflepuffs were looking all happy. She guessed that Gryffindor tried scoring again, failed, and lost the Quaffle to Hufflepuff. The first-year glanced at the field to check if her surmise was correct. Of course it was. Not interested in seeing whether the yellow-clad Chaser would succeed, she looked over at the Hufflepuff crowd to observe either their joy or disappointment.

How was Hufflepuff in control of the Quaffle all of a sudden, with all three Gryffindor Chasers so close? This Rowle boy was pretty good, Don had to admit. Everyone was playing so gently, too - no elbowing each other, no bumping so hard that someone could fall off the broom. Had all the rough players graduated already? He was sure it wasn't always just Slytherin that played to win. There had been some pretty brutal games before. Somehow, though, he was glad this wasn't one of them.

Rose swore under her breath as the Hufflepuff chaser managed to swoop in and grab the quaffle right under their noses following another unsuccessful attempt to score. Turning her broom back to face the other side of the pitch, she zipped after the quaffle. Blaise was doing a good job sticking to Rowle, so she focused instead on Moon, remaining close in case the Hufflepuff chaser tried to pass so she could intercept. Unfortunately that was not the case, and Hufflepuff managed to attempt a goal. Phoebe was a good keeper, so she hoped she would be able to deflect the ball without any issues. This time, however, Rose would be ready, flying closer to the hoops to snatch the quaffle.

Jung So Min attended the Quidditch match where her house was playing against Hufflepuff. She found a good spot to stand and made a flag to cheer on her house, waving it around as she yelled, "Go Gryffindor Go!" She hoped that her house would win the match. Although she had considered trying out for the Quidditch team, she realized that she wasn't a very good player and decided against it. She continued to cheer on her housemates, waving her flag, and took a quick look around to see her housemates cheering beside her.

The Snitch was still nowhere to be seen and he was weaving in and out of other players and dodging bludgers as he searched. There was no time to keep an eye on much as he scanned the skies. With how small the Snith was he was hoping for the sunlight to give it away. A glint off its body or wings could be helpful but as of yet, he hadn't seen even a glimmer of it anywhere.

Rose whooped as Phoebe managed to block the goal, shooting her a quick thumbs up before racing towards the quaffle. She managed to catch it, narrowly beating the Hufflepuff chaser, and quickly turned her broom, heading back up the field towards the Hufflepuff hoops. This time she would score a goal. She just knew it.

Despite Rowle's skill in obtaining the Quaffle, Hufflepuff didn't manage to score either. Both Keepers were doing so well today! As was Rose. Don watched her grab the Quaffle once more and cheered, raising his poster up again. This time she had to succeed, and he was looking forward to witnessing it.

No luck there - she could see it from the Hufflepuff reactions. Were all the Chasers on both teams so bad, or were the Keepers actually fairly decent?
Judging by the sudden rise in Gryffindor cheers, one of their own now had the Quaffle. Olivia turned back to the game to make sure. Yes, a Gryffindor girl had the ball. Maybe she would score. Or, better yet, maybe the Snitch would be caught soon.

Henri’s reaction time was a little too slow for him to notice that the goal attempt was a failure. He gritted his teeth as he clenched his hands around his broom as he began to focus. Fine, let’s play then. He thought with determination as he followed Rose tilting his broom slightly down as he picked up his pace doing his best to tackle Rose mid air. Of course, he knew this was just a game but he also knew that Rose was a female. At least so he thought because someone as good as Rose had to be bionic or something. Bumping into Rose was met with full force as he attempted to steal the quaffle from her.
