Growing up he didn’t have cooking books. Recipes were passed from mouth to mouth and were practiced with trial and error. Lewis liked that way but he had to admit ever since he got to school it was a lot easier to discover new kinds of dishes. “I usually just wing it. Taste in between to see what it needs.”
Lewis smirked as the other said he enjoyed things on the wilder side. “We usually just slurped the jelly out of the cup,” he chuckled at how clumsy that was. “Actually I never had it until I came to Hogwarts. I immediately packed a couple and sent them home.” It was much more fun now all the other kids from the pack were also at Hogwarts.
“Pure? Oh no I’m a halfblood,” he completely misunderstood what Levi was going for. “There are a lot of kids in the world going to bed on an empty stomach. I wish we could track them down so we could owl them food,” he sighed. Though he knew the pack would have been suspicious if random food started to get airdropped. The meals could have been poisoned. He blinked and tilted his head when Levi placed the flour coated hand on his cheek. “Are you trying to make a cake out of us?” LEVI HILFIGER,

Levi quite admired how Lewis was able to cook purely based off taste. “ Cooking by taste is how the real pros do it.” He replied throwing a smile at him in the process. Levi, who claimed to be quite a good bakery chef had to follow recipes for most parts of his cooking. It may seem like he knew what he was doing but that was probably because he memorised a recipe or two over the years.
There was something so innocent about Lewis that Levi just loved. Perhaps it was the fact that not only did he look innocent but his actions match his words and voice or the fact that he cared so much about others. “ You’ve not had jelly before Hogwarts? “ He replied almost having to stop his own jaw from hitting the floor. “ Wait, what did you mean by pack? “ He asked seeking clarification on this term.
He dusted off the flour from his face as his original idea faded as he heard what Lewis had said. “ No silly. I’m not turning us into cake. But that was meant to be my joke “ He said walking over to him. “ I mean you are so pure. Like, you’re just. Adorable. “ He replied with a smile on his face before acknowledging what was said. “ Maybe we could ask the house elves if there’s left overs to send it to the orphanage or something. “ He replied before sitting on a near by bench.
