Even though it was obvious that Maeve shared some view points if not all the same view points as he did let alone his family, he was still weary of letting her into his life. Not many people had that privilege. His so called friends only know the side to him that he wanted to share. If anything, only Julian knew of his true personality. The abrupt, cold and somewhat scary personality only Julian had ever seen. This was perhaps due to the fact the two had somewhat grown up with each other.
Maeve however, was somehow making her way into that side of his true personality. She had seen glimpses of his personality with him pointing his wand toward her before he pulled back to him actually exploring openly his interest in the Dark Arts. It had long been under the shadows and it seemed that his family's influence was finally prevailing.
" Incendio?" The simple fire making charm could be seen as a dark spell if used correctly then again, it almost seemed every spell could be used in a negative way if one was really ingenious enough to think about it. "Never really thought about it that way. Might have to consider that. " He said smiling the same way a pyromaniac would at the thought of a house engulfed in flames. "Sagisortia sounds welcoming." He replied peaking an ounce of interest in the spell and one he would keep in his memory bank.
"Save me the waiver form and just do it!" He replied quickly standing a few metres away from her but not too far that she would miss. He had already come to the conclusion of making up a fake back story to cover up should things go wrong. " Okay now go." He said as he dropped his wand and ready to face his death or mouth and face transfiguration. " I don't let anyone touch the goods normally so go full throttle."

Levi's eagerness to get cursed fell somewhere between admirable and disconcerting. Submitting oneself to such an experiment required boldness, though she supposed it was still fitting of a Ravenclaw - anything to gain an insight. Even if it was an insight on how it felt to be on the receiving end of a curse. "Alright. Give me a moment to get into the right mindset."
Dark spells needed intent - if not desire - to cause harm, but Maeve had no negative feelings towards the younger boy. She had to picture someone else standing in his place, someone who deserved to be forcefully silenced. After a few moments of concentration, the redhead felt prepared to cast. "Oscausi."
Focused as she was on performing this Transfiguration accurately and with the appropriate intent, the spell would work as it was meant to. She was more concerned about reversing it successfully.

Levi's through process was that he had to know the effects of particular spells before casting them. Almost like a try before you buy kind of situation and while he was anxious around the thought of being cursed voluntarily but it was exactly what he wanted none the less. He nodded and took a deep breath acknowledging that Maeve needed to get into the right head space. In saying that, how does one actually prepare themselves for using a dark charm on the spot.
The silence between them was deafening. The only thing that was heard in the Dueling tower was the wind passing through and as Levi closed his eyes, he felt the breeze passing through his clothes and onto his skin. Finally, Maeve cast the spell and the light green light came blasting toward him. Taking a deep breath, he braced himself for impact.
The spell hit him in the face and at first, the tingling sensation flooded his facial skin creating almost what felt like a bee sting sensation. It was not pleasurable at all. Luckily, it only lasted a few seconds but this was where things went from bad to worse. Levi placed his hand on his face as he felt a smooth layer of skin where his lips once used to be. What made him panic slightly was the sensation of not having mouth but to make it worse, not having a nose. Somehow, Maeve's spell not only caused his mouth to disappear but also his nose which put Levi into a panic as now his breathing was compromised.
Dropping to the ground and scratching at his neck, he waved at Maeve to try and fix the situation. His arms frantically flailing about as he tried with the best of his ability to reverse the effects of the spell non-verbally which was futile. He wasn't nearly as skilled at non-verbal magic as he liked to think he was. He gripped onto his own clothes as he looked Maeve in the eyes carrying with it a sense of panic, despair and anxiety over the fact he wasn't able to breathe.

The curse proved to be far more potent than Maeve had expected. As her heart drummed out a panicked beat, a chilly section of her mind noted that the Killing Curse had nothing on Oscausi - why give a swift end to one's victim when they could spend the last few minutes of their life in utter terror? She shut down those thoughts and aimed her wand at the flailing boy. The Hospital Wing was too far - she could not run there in five minutes, or however long a person could survive without oxygen. And even if she did rush Levi there in time, there were no guarantees Kearn would be present. Perhaps the woman was on a break, eating at the Great Hall... No, the solution had to be found here and now, as quickly as possible.
All she had to do was reverse the effects - perhaps by using an Untransfiguration spell? His flailing hands were in the way, though, preventing her from landing any spell with accuracy. She would just cause more harm, waste time, and have to watch Levi perish... and then she would end up in Azkaban, her wand snapped in half, doomed to lose her sanity to Dementors. "I'll fix this, but first I have to immobilize you," she announced, trying to keep fear out of her voice. It would do Levi no good if he saw her losing her mind just like he was. "Petrficus Totalus!"
With the Ravenclaw's body now rigid and his arms out of the way, she aimed at his face... and faltered for the briefest of moments. The flashes of prison bars her imagination was conjuring up were opening sizeable cracks in her concentration. She could not recall even one Untransfiguration spell, even though she knew at least half a dozen of them. Professor Min had reminded of a very basic one just recently - she was even the one to perform it for the class... what was its incantation?
Her brain snapped out of its untimely paralysis. There were more ways to handle this than Transfiguration. If everything else failed, she could use a Severing Charm to cut open the skin where Levi's mouth should be - it would hurt him, but not nearly as much as death by suffocation. That would be her last resort, though. Maeve gave herself one minute to resolve this in a clean manner before she started crudely fashioning replacement vents.
Now that she had a backup solution, the situation did not seem so irrevocably dire. The incantation she had been groping for sprang into her memory, and she uttered it immediately. "Reparifarge."

Whilst he didn't know what exactly the spell would do to someone, what he didn't expect was to be suffocating and clawing at his neck for oxygen. At one point, Levi even considered completing a bastardised version of a Tracheostomy on himself using his wand but he knew that his non-verbal magic would probably end up having him look like Nearly Headless Nick. Still, a part of him was rather impressed at just how potent Maeve's magic was.
Flailing his arms about his own neck and face, Levi began scratching at his face hoping the scratches would be deep enough to open up an air passage. Seeing Maeve standing there not doing anything made him question if things were intentional at first. By the time Maeve had immobilised him, his skin had gone to a pale colour and his movements came to a standstill with his hands locked in motion.
The pain of suffocating was something so traumatic that a single tear had started to run down his left cheek. Levi had quite the pain tolerance so for a tear to drop down his cheek must of meant he was in excruciating pain without the ability to scream to distract it. His eyes closed slowly as his vision started to get blurry and the hearing around him muffled. Possibly due to the effects of hypoxia to his brain. The last thing he heard was the Reparifarge spell being used before he blacked out for a good minute or two.
His pale and weak body suddenly felt a constant air stream running through his body and while his body was still immobilised, he was now able to breath again. He was still unconscious but at least he was breathing and it saved Maeve and Levi a visit to the Hospital Wing which would of been more drastic.

Relief flooded her brain as she watched Levi's face regain the features she had cursed away. Feeling dizzy, she struggled to estimate how much time could have passed. Had it been even one minute? That couldn't be enough to cause lasting damage, could it? He might still need to see a Healer, though... only, it would mean both of them would get in trouble for this ordeal.
Luckily, there was no hurry to make the decision, since the boy was currently unconscious. Realizing he should be freed from the Full Body-Bind, Maeve waved her wand again. "Finite."
The scratches on Levi's face and throat were becoming more vivid as they bloomed red. Something should be done about them. Healing had never been Maeve's forte, but these were simple enough injuries. She used Episkey several times to seal the damaged skin, then cleaned the blood off his face, hands and clothes with Tergeo. Soon enough, there was no more external aid she could provide. Pouring a Calming Draught down Levi's throat before he could wake up would have been tempting, but she didn't have any on her. Perhaps it wouldn't be required - people generally didn't rise from a blackout in full panic mode.
Since she couldn't do anything else for the Ravenclaw, Maeve settled down to wait for him to wake up. She had no idea what he might do, or whom he might tell of this unfortunate occurence - if he mentioned it to the wrong person... The thought almost made her shudder. On top of that, this may very well scare him away from Dark Arts entirely; while that would be nowhere near as bad as them both getting expelled, she didn't want Levi abandoning the path he was on. One mishap shouldn't discourage anyone - it only taught them a valuable lesson about being careful with magic.
She would have to try and fix the situation. It seemed that a debrief was due.

Everything seemed like a constant blur and it almost seemed a little confusing to see that that he was not only still in the Duelling tower but he was still with Maeve. It was confusing because it was somewhat comforting to see her. Now, with the ability to flail his arms as he needed, he slowly rolled over and sat upright. Not that he needed to flail his arms but more so he had the ability to control his own body at will without the need to claw away at his own skin.
Gliding his fingers on his face and neck, Levi felt nothing but smooth skin and it was almost as if his little bits of acne also managed to disappear. It seemed Maeve wasn't only exceptional in offensive magic but also healing magic. Groaning slightly, he stretched out his hands in the air as he let out a small yawn and looked up at the roof above them where he could still see the traces of his own blood at his finger tips.
" Okay. " He finally said after seeing Maeve sitting next to him. "First of all, thanks for helping clean me up. " He said as he stood up slowly and took a deep breath. " Secondly.... " He paused for a second before looking at Maeve. " That was FREAKING AWESOME!" He yelled out with excitement running through his voice and a smile on his face as he jumped a little!
" Can we try another spell now?" He asked enthusiastically as he began to ponder what else Maeve could do with her magical abilities. His smile slowly started to fade as the effects of the spell suddenly rushed through his mind. " So this spell.... It could technically kill someone when used by the wrong person... " He wondered what else the spell could do considering how potent Maeve's magic was.
MAEVE THORNE, [ooc: " people generally didn't rise from a blackout in full panic mode." Darn it! I love that you knew I was planning to do this HAHA ]
