The welcoming warmth of the May sky was the perfect setting for an afternoon flight to Hogsmeade – in Angus Baird's humble opinion, at least. With the WGOS granting him the day off, was there a better way to unwind than feeling the placid rush of wind surrounding you before collecting sweets and other delectable goods from Hogsmeade? Seated and soaring through the skies on his Firebolt Falcon, Angus hadn't expected to spot another person flying a few feet away from him.
“Afternoon!" he called to them with a cheery wave. “Lovely day for a broom ride, eh?!”

Helen didn't think she'd ever get bored of flying on her broom. On her off days she was either sleeping, visiting her family, or flying around Hogsmeade. Listening to her mum nag about nonexistent rips in her clothes or that one time she'd gone to St. Mungo's after an infection from a bite was not how she wanted to spend her free time. It had only been the once, that her mum knew of, but that one time had been enough to send her mum into a fit every single visit.
Having gotten the visit over with, Helen grabbed her broom and set out toward Hogsmeade. Enjoying the way the wind hit her as she flew, she was slightly startled to hear another voice. It wasn't very often that someone started a conversation mid-flight. Whoever it was, they were her sort of person.

Angus couldn't have agreed more. Not to sound vain, but his old boyfriend had always complimented the “windblown look” a breezy flight had normally left upon his hair. As he nodded in agreement to her statement, Angus couldn't help but notice how familiar this girl looked.
In age, they had to be at least a year apart, and Angus believed he had spied her while at Hogwarts in a Gryffindor uniform.
“Hey, I believe we went to school together!” Angus said, his surprise fervent under the air breezing around them. “Helen, isn't it?”
