Planted over thirty years ago, the Whomping Willow serves as a guard to the entrance of the tunnel leading to the Shrieking Shack, located in Hogsmeade. However, most students don't know about this and merely try to steer clear of the violent tree.

A temporary (and reinforced) cabin built for the werewolves to safely transform in. They stay there for the whole three days and are equipped with books, study areas, as well as their rooms that get trashed every night. During these 3 days, they can go anywhere else in the castle, but by 5pm must be in the cabin.

Care of Magical Creatures is an elective class, available to all students in their third year or higher.
