This is a list of all the known potions on the site. If you wish to make a new one, PM me the title, ingredients and instructions. Note that approval is not guaranteed and your potion will not be approved if it does not comply with the laws of canon.

8 ounces = 1 cup
AMORTENTIA
A love potion that can make the drinker infatuated or obsessed with the target, though real love cannot be manufactured. Amortentia is the most powerful love potion and smells differently to each person, mimicking the scent of what attracts them most.
Post-Hogwarts
-- 6 ounces of belladonna
-- 9 ashwinder eggs (frozen)
-- 4 ounces of flitterby leaves (smashed)
-- 3 ounces of lovage
-- 7 pomegranate seeds (crushed)
Boil the water. Drop in 9 frozen Ashwinder Eggs and simmer until the potion turns pink. Stir in 2 ounces of Belladonna. Crush the 7 Pomegranate Seeds and add to the potion. Stir clockwise for 10 minutes. Simmer the potion for 20 minutes. Stir in 2 ounces of Belladonna. Add 3 ounces of Lovage. Simmer until the potion turns white. Add 2 ounces of Belladonna. Stir counter-clockwise. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add 2 ounces of smashed Flitterby Leaves. Stir clockwise for 5 minutes. Add 2 ounces of Flitterby Leaves. Stir counter-clockwise for 10 minutes. Potion should turn silver and give off an appealing scent.
ANTIDOTE TO COMMON POISONS
A potion that counteracts ordinary poisons.
Year 1.
-- 1 bezoar (crushed)
-- 6 ounces of standard ingredient
-- 2 ounces of unicorn horn
-- 2 mistletoe berries
Crush the bezoar into a powder. Add the bezoar and 6 ounces of standard ingredient to the cauldron. Heat to a medium temperature. Let simmer for thirty three minutes. Add 2 ounces of unicorn horn. Stir clockwise for 10 seconds. Add 2 mistletoe berries. Stir counter-clockwise for 10 seconds. Simmer for ten minutes. The potion should be teal.
ANTIDOTE TO UNCOMMON POISONS
A potion that counteracts uncommon poisons such as doxy bites.
Year 3.
-- 9 fire seeds
-- 6 ounces of graphorn horn (powdered)
-- 5 billywig stings
-- 2 chizpurfle carapaces
Add 4 Fire Seeds and 2 Billywig Stings, then bring to boil. Toss in the remaining 5 Fire Seeds and stir clockwise for 5 minutes. Take the 6 ounces of powdered Graphorn Horn and add them to the mixture. Stir counter-clockwise for 2 minutes. The potion should turn blue. Add 2 Chizpurfle Carapaces and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir clockwise for 4 minutes. The potion should turn teal. Add 1 Billywig Sting. Stir counter-clockwise for 2 minutes. Add 2 Billywig Stings. Stir counter-clockwise for 2 minutes. The potion should turn green.
AUDIUNT MINISCULA
Slightly improved hearing potion, useful for everyday eavesdropping.
Year 3.
- 6 ounces of jobberknoll feather (crushed)
- 2 ounces of ginkgo biloba root
- 4 ounces of onion juice
- pinch of russian dragon nails (powder)
- 2 drops of banana extract (optional)
Bring to a boil. Add Binkgo Biloba Root and let steep into a brew (7-10 minutes). Stir in crushed Jobberknoll Feathers ounce by ounce, changing direction each time. Start with counter-clockwise. The potion should then be blue. Add in onion juice. Optionally, you may add banana extract for taste. Boil for 5 minutes. Add a pinch of Powdered Russian Dragon Nails. Stir counter clockwise for 1 minute and return to boil after. Potion is known to emit a screaming noise near completion. If successful, potion will fade into a warm purple.
BOLT DRAUGHT
A potion that gives the drinker the ability to run for 30 minutes with extra speed.
Year 5
-- 2 Billywig wings (powdered)
-- 1 unicorn hair (No tailhair)
-- 5 drops of salamander blood
-- 4 ounces of polygonum (sliced)
-- 2 hippogriff feathers
-- 4 mandrake leaves (chopped)
-- 13 porcupine quills
Boil the water. Drop in the Unicorn Hair directly in the centre (crucial). Stir one time counter-clockwise, wait 1 minute and then stir 3 times clockwise. The potions colour should be grey. Add the powdered Billywig Wings. Add 2 ounces of Polygonum. Boil for 5 minutes and then add in the last 2 ounces of Polygonum. Stir clockwise for 20 seconds and then counter-clockwise for 10 seconds. Stir the 5 drops of Salamander Blood and the 2 Hippogriff Feathers into the potion. The colour should turn dark brown. Let the potion boil for 5 minutes. Once the potion turns red, add the 13 Porcupine Quills. Be careful for the fumes, as they have a stupifying effect at this point. Add the 4 chopped Mandrake Leaves. Simmer the potion for 10 minutes. The potion should be red. If the potion turned green, it will have the opposite effect.
BULGEYE POTION
A potion that causes the drinker's eyes to bulge and swell.
Year 2.
-- 7 beetle eyes
-- 4 eel eyes
-- 5 frog eyes (smashed)
BURN-HEALING PASTE
A paste used to treat burns up to third degree.
Year 5.
-- 2 ounces of dried nettle
-- 5 ounces of coconut oil
-- 6 ounces of manuka honey
-- 2 ounces of beeswax
-- 15 drops of aloe
Bring coconut oil to a boil. Add the nettle and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Squeeze juice from aloe plants and distribute 15 drops evenly. Raise heat once more. Once brought to a boil, lower the heat to the lowest setting and add in the honey and 1 ounce of beeswax. Evenly combine and allow it to very lightly simmer for 15 minutes. Once finished, remove from heat and stir until consistency becomes paste like. Slowly fold in the remaining ounce of beeswax. After smooth, add to desired container. Will be orange in color.
DISILLUSIONMENT POTION
Gives the ability to be nearly invisible - the same effect as the Disillusionment Charm has.
Year 6.
-- 2 diricawl feathers (ground)
-- 2 ounces of belladonna
-- 6 ounces of Moonstone (powdered)
Boil the water. Add 2 ground Diricawl Feathers. Stir clockwise for 1 minute. Add 1 ounce of Belladonna. Stir counter clockwise for 1 minute. Add 6 ounces of powdered Moonstone. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. Add 1 ounce of Belladonna. Stir counter clockwise for 1 minute. Stir clockwise for 4 minutes.
DRAUGHT OF PEACE
Relieves anxiety and agitation; calms the drinker.
Year 5.
-- 1/2 ounce of moonstone (powdered)
-- 1 ounce of syrup of hellebore
-- 3 ounces of lavender (chopped)
Bring to a boil. Add 1/2 ounce of powdered moonstone. Add 1 ounce of chopped lavender. Stir clockwise for 90 seconds. Add 1 ounce of syrup of hellebore. Stir counter-clockwise for 30 seconds. Add 1 ounce of chopped lavender. Stir clockwise for 15 seconds. Add 1 ounce of chopped lavender. Stir clockwise for 3 minutes. Should be light purple. If indigo, there was too much hellebore and the potion will do the opposite effect.
EUPHORIA
A potion that induces a sense of inexplicable, irrational happiness upon the drinker.
Year 6.
-- 6 ounces of shrivelfig
-- 6 porcupine quills
-- 8 ounces of peppermint
-- 7 sopophorous beans
-- 5 ounces of wormwood
Boil the water. Add 6 ounces of Shrivelfig. The potion should turn teal. Stir counter-clockwise for 5 minutes. The potion should turn blue. Add 6 Porcupine Quills. Allow potion to simmer for 10 minutes until the potion turns purple. Add 8 ounces of Peppermint to counteract the side effects of the potion. Add 7 Sopophorous Beans. Simmer for 15 minutes until the potion turns pink. Add 5 ounces of Wormwood. Stir counter-clockwise for 10 minutes. The potion should be yellow.
GIRDING POTION
Gives the drinker extra endurance.
Year 3.
-- 7 ounces of toasted dragonfly thoraxes
-- 2 ounces of fairy wings
-- 2 ounces of flying seahorses (whole)
-- 8 ounces of doxy eggs
Bring to a boil. Add 2 ounces of fairy wings. Stir clockwise for 1 minute. Add 2 ounces of Doxy Eggs. Stir counter-clockwise for 2 minutes. Add 2 ounces of toasted Dragonfly Thoraxes. Stir counter-clockwise for 1 minute. Add 3 ounces of toasted Dragonfly Thoraxes. Stir clockwise for 3 minutes. Add 6 ounces of doxy eggs. Add 2 ounces of toasted Dragonfly Thoraxes. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. Add 2 ounces of Flying Seahorses. Stir counter-clockwise for 1 minute. Potion should turn green.
LAUGHING POTION
A potion that creates uncontrollable laughter.
Year 6
-- Clear Spring Water
-- 4 Alihotsy leaves (chopped)
-- 2 Billywig wings (ground)
-- 3 Knarl quills
-- 1 puffskein hair (shaved)
-- 1 sprinkle of horseradish powder
Add the clear Spring Water into your cauldron. Add the 4 chopped Alihotsy leaves. Stir slowly for 30 seconds. Stirring too fast damages the leaves mirthful properties. Snicker at the potion. Add the Billywig wings to the cauldron. Stir slowly for 1 minute. Add 3 Knarl Quills. Heat the mixture and stir firmly for 1 minute. Giggle at the potion. Once again heat the mixture. Scatter the Puffskein Hair over the surface of the potion. Stir quickly for 2 minutes. Laugh loudly and uncontrollably. Add a sprinkle of Horseradish Powder. Stir for 3 minutes. If made wrong, side-effects can vary from hysterical mania to deep and inconsolable melancholy.
PEPPERUP POTION
Cures the common cold
Side Effect: Causes steam to blow out drinker's ears for several hours.
Year 6.
-- 5 ounces of octopus (powdered)
-- 4 ounces of bicorn horn (crushed)
-- 4 ounces of mandrake root (sliced)
Boil the water. Add 3 ounces of powdered octopus and 2 ounces of Bicorn Horn. Stir clockwise for two minutes. Add 2 ounces of powdered octopus and stir counter-clockwise for 3 minutes. Simmer mixture for 2 minutes. Add 4 ounces of Mandrake root. Stir in 2 ounces of Bicorn Horn. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Potion should be pink.
POLYJUICE POTION
Gives you the ability to look like someone else.
Year 7.
-- 1 ounce of fluxweed
-- 1/2 ounce of knotgrass
-- 4 leeches (unsucculated)
-- 12 lacewing flies (stewed)
-- skin of a boomslang (shredded)
-- 1/4 ounce of bicorn horn (powdered; lunar extracted)
-- Bit of the person you wish to become
Stew Lacewing Flies for thirty minutes in a separate cauldron.
Bring to a boil. Add 1 ounce of Fluxweed and 1/2 ounce of Knotgrass. Stir clockwise for 3 minutes. Add 4 Leeches. Add pre-stewed Lacewing Flies. Bring to a boil. Add shredded Boomslang Skin. Add 1/4 ounce of powdered Bicorn Horn. Stir counter clockwise for 2 minutes. Add the bit of the person you wish to become. Let sit for 5 minutes.
POMPION POTION
Temporarily turns drinker's head into a pumpkin.
Year 3.
-- 5 ounces of flitterby moth (crushed)
-- 3 ounces of bouncing bulb (ground)
-- 5 ounces of foxglove (sliced)
Boil the water. Add 5 ounces of crushed flitterby moth. Stir clockwise until the potion turns green. Add 3 ounces of ground bouncing bulb. Stir counter-clockwise until red. Add 5 ounces of sliced foxglove. Stir until the potion turns orange.
SHRINKING SOLUTION
Shrinks covered objects in both physicality and time (ex. frog to tadpole).
Year 3.
-- 2 ounces of daisy roots (chopped)
-- 1 rat spleen
-- 1/4 ounce of leech juice
-- 1 caterpillar (sliced)
-- 2 ounces of shrivelfig (skinned)
Bring to a boil. Add 2 ounces of evenly chopped daisy roots. Add 1/4 ounce of leech juice. Stir clockwise for 30 seconds. Add 1 sliced caterpillar. Stick counter-clockwise for 15 seconds. Add 1 rat spleen. Add 2 ounces of skinned shrivelfig. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. The potion should be acid green. If orange, it was done incorrectly and is poisonous.
STRENGTHENING SOLUTION
Gives you immense physical strength.
Year 5.
-- 6 strands of re'em hair
-- 8 ounces of pomegranate juice
-- 4 ounces of salamander blood
Bring to a boil. Add 4 strands of Re'em Hair. Let sit for 1 minute. Add 8 ounces of Pomegranate Juice. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. Add 4 ounces of Salamander Blood. Stir counter clockwise for 1 minute. Add 2 strands of Re'em Hair. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. Let sit for 1 minutes.
WIDEYE POTION
Prevents the drinker from falling asleep or awakens them from a potion or magical sleeping effects.
Year 2.
-- 12 ounces of snake fangs (crushed)
-- 4 ounces of standard ingredient (crushed)
-- 9 ounces of dried billywig stings
-- 1 ounce of wolfsbane
Bring to a medium temperature. Add 9 ounces of dried Billywig Stings. Let simmer for 30 seconds. Add crushed Snake Fangs. Add crushed Standard Ingredient. Bring to a boil. Stir clockwise for 1 minute. Add 1 ounce of Wolfsbane. Stir counter-clockwise for 1 minute.
WIT-SHARPENING POTION
Makes your mind quicker and more alert.
Year 4.
-- 4 scarab beetles (ground)
-- 3/4 cup of ginger root (sliced)
-- 1 cup of armadillo bile
Boil the water. Add in 4 ground Scarab Beetles and 1/2 cup of sliced Ginger Root. Stir clockwise for 2 minutes. Add Armadillo Bile. Stir clockwise for 1 minute. Stir counter clockwise for 30 seconds. Add 1/4 cup of sliced Ginger Root. Stir clockwise for 5 minutes.
WOLFSBANE POTION
Relieves effects of dangerous dementia that accompanies lycanthropy during transformation. Must be taken every night for the week prior to the full moon to have effect.
