FIREBOLT BANKRUPT
Firebolt Inc., the notorious company that has been leading the broomstick industry since they came out with their original Firebolt in 1993, has become bankrupt.
Attempting to top their latest broom, the Firebolt Falcon from 2004, has cost them dearly. At the fastest speed of 200 miles per hour, which is far more than any other broomstick on the market, they have had a lot of trouble beating it.
"We have exhausted all our resources on this new goal. Eventually, Icarus couldn't fly any higher without compromising his safety and it seems we have found the ceiling of achieving speed safely," a spokesperson said last Monday.
Indeed, it seems they have admitted defeat, concluding that there can be no faster broom in existence.
This only gives opportunity for other companies to shine, however. With lots of room to catch up to the Firebolts, they are already releasing broomsticks nearly worthy. The Cleansweeps and Comets, which used to be known as the second-class broomsticks for those who couldn't afford the best or perhaps didn't want to go fast, have now released very fast broomsticks themselves. There is also a new Nimbus 4000 which has covered the market.
However, do not fret if you still wanted to buy a Firebolt. There are still many in circulation from all four Firebolt releases. Firebolt Inc. has gone on the record stating that they do plan on creating more of their latest release, the Firebolt Falcon, once they have the funds to do so. They expect this will happen in 2009 or 2010. They still are the top of the market, even if they have no plans of ever making a new version. But the question is how long will that last with many other very promising companies vying for control?

LONDON BREAK IN
By Nina Ward
Imagine if you will, you are at home sleeping on a calm Thursday night, when all of a sudden you hear someone breaking into your neighbour’s apartment during a full moon.
That nightmare was all too real for Mr. Rogers, who heard someone break down his neighbour's door at three o'clock in the morning. “It was extremely unnerving to be woken up like that,” Mr. Rogers explained over coffee as he flashed back to the traumatizing event. “I wanted to rush over to help the kid, I really did but I’m just an old man, what could I have done?”
The kid he is referring to is twenty-six year old Alan Wyatt, who works at St. Mungo’s as a Healer in the Spell Damage department.
“I'm just happy she was there to make sure he was okay,” Mr. Rogers explained revealing that Rowan Jacobs, Mr. Wyatts rumored girlfriend, was on the scene a couple hours after the incident.
Alan Wyatt and Rowan Jacobs has refused to comment on the events that unfolded two days prior. According to Ministry sources, no incident report has been filed. As always if you see anything that looks suspicious please contact the authorities immediately.
