The Kingsley Expansion
By: Darci Sullivan
Hold your hippogriffs, Norwegian broomstick company, Kingsley Brooms, has recently announced their intention of expanding into the UK markets through a partnership with Quality Quidditch Supplies. Established in Oslo, Norway in 1970, Kingsley Brooms is best known for their high-speed broomsticks by the names of Lightning and Gust.
With knowledge of this expansion, several experts in the industry took the time to analyze Kingsley Brooms' current selection of broomsticks. Their first broomsticks, Rain and Thunderstorm, are known to be great for children who want to try flying for the first time. They range in acceleration, and maintain steady speeds. Those who prefer broomsticks for Quidditch or racing purposes may find themselves drawn more toward the aforementioned Lightning and Gust.
Where Kingsley Brooms truly shines, experts say, is in their custom broomsticks through the Kingsley Brooms Custom Fit program. The process of requesting one includes several appointments and interviews to determine what broomstick the consumer is looking for, and which would be the best fit.
Keep an out for Kingsley Brooms!

Reflecting on the Return of the Nimbus
By: Maira Walton
In March 2016, the Nimbus 5000 was released. Now, a year later, experts are sharing their thoughts on whether or not the broomstick has met expectations.
With a record speed of 220 miles per hour, rivalled only by the Cleansweep Seventeen, it appears that Nimbus has been able to shed their reputation of being the "middle child" of broomstick companies in terms of speed. Their last popular design was the Nimbus 2001 in 1992, and since then, their designs have been fairly good, but not enough to best their competitors.
Despite being a 2016 model, the Nimbus 5000 is less expensive than the 2012 Cleansweep Seventeen. Why might that be? Experts speculated that it was because the broomstick is not durable in the long-run and it appears that was indeed the culprit. After a huge recall at the end of 2016, Nimbus has released its final version of the Nimbus 5000 that is supposedly more durable.
The Daily Prophet has reached out to Nimbus for a comment, but they did not immediately respond.
