Some information about Heart's Sanctuary!
It was founded in 2011 by Warwick Ward and is now owned by the very person it was named after ASHWORTH HEART . It isn't really an orphanage but is more of a children's home for those displaced from their own for any reason. It came to being because Ashworth was disowned from his own family due to his being gay and Warwick and Ashworth never wanted any other children to ever go through the same thing. So while they do have a lot of orphans, they also welcome any youth that need a place to stay after leaving or being booted from their own.
Things to note would be:
-- the children get a lot of loving, gentle care. Ashworth treats the children as he would his own. Any of his staff caught mistreating any of the children would get fired on the spot.
-- any disabilities get well accommodated as Ashworth makes sure to research what is needed to be done thoroughly if he is not already educated in it.
-- they get baked treats and sweets regularly - Hogwarts students get sent care packages on the regular.
-- Hogwarts students get brand new supplies and things needed for the new school year each year.
-- If any of the children have a special interest in things like Quidditch, art, music, etc, Ashworth helps them in that and supplies what they need to pursue their interest further.
-- It is honestly not easy to adopt a child from Hearts Sanctuary. Potential adopters are put through a very extensive process to ensure that they are a good fit for the child and that the adopters are actually capable of taking care of the child. Especially if said child requires some extra care such as behavioral issues, disabilities, etc. Vampires and Werewolves are also welcome to adopt but they must prove that they absolutely won't be a danger to the child and that they have precautionary plans to prevent any potential dangers.
-- People who are single but want a child and are more than capable of caring for one are also welcome to adopt but still go through the same extensive process.
-- Anyone who ages out of being in the system, turns 18, etc., are welcome to stay while they figure out their next move. They would get a care package, some money to help them get started and assistance in figuring out a good place to rent, find a job, etc. They can even choose to be a live in employee of sorts while they figure things out. Whatever they need to get start an independent life, Ashworth is there to try and help.
