SUMMER 2024
There were so many things Hestia wanted to do for the orphanage. Each one seemed to take ages to prepare, but all of the work was worth it. The next big thing was to encourage students to come to the orphanage during their Hogsmeade visits. This meant getting different shops around the village to advertise for her. Every day for the last week, she visited a different shop to explain what she was doing and to see if they would let her put a sign in their shop. She hadn't been turned down yet, so she printed flyers and headed toward the main street of the village. Summer was almost over, and she wanted to be ready for the first Hogsmeade weekend of the year. She just hoped there were some nice students in the older years at Hogwarts, ones that would jump at the chance to encourage the younger orphans.

Victoire yawned as she got ready to go to work. She was going to be leaving the job soon to start a cursebreaking career but she was going to honour the time she had left. After all, it still paid her bills. She spotted Hestia Burke, whom she knew from their shared time in Liberamach. She wasn't overly familiar with the woman but Victoire smiled and waved in greeting.
"Hello, Miss Burke," Victoire greeted as she trotted over and noticed the armful of flyers. "What do you have there? Need help?"

"Hello, Victoire. It's been a while, how are you doing?" She hadn't seen very much of the young Weasley, not since things had settled down. They weren't close, but from the little she knew, Hestia liked the other woman. "Have you been keeping busy?"
"I'm just heading out to the village shops to place these flyers. I'm starting a volunteer program at the orphanage and want to get the posters up before term starts. It's easy work, but if you have time I would love the company." She didn't really see it as work. Doing everything she could for the orphanage was her duty as their temporary guardian. She thought of each child as hers. No matter how tired she was, or how high the mountain of paperwork was, she would never see it as a job.
