Waters couldn't be more glad to be done. Done with what exactly? Everything. Absolutely everything. Done with school, done with life, done with being the harbinger of doom and gloom and never anything good. He'd been so freaking out after he accidentally had a vision not only during the day--that was new--but in the Headmaster's office that he'd completely flunked his exams. Again. In fact, Waters hadn't even bothered to show up this time. What was the point? He was never going to pass anyway. School had always been hard, but doing yet another year over again was just too much.
He'd spent the first few weeks of the new semester hiding out in Hogsmeade. His parents didn't need to know he'd dropped out of school yet. At least, he assumed they didn't know yet. If the school had sent them a letter telling them he hadn't shown up, there would absolutely be a hit out on his head, so they must not have given that Waters was of legal age at this point. It was a race against the clock at this point though. Would someone tell his parents he'd dropped out first, or would the meager money they'd given him for weekend trips run out first? His bet was on the money, but he was doing his best to ration it.
His head was leaned on the table in one of the back corners of the pub. He'd spent the better part of thirty minutes watching the condensation run down the glass of his third free water of the day. There had to be some plan he could think of that didn't involve going home--any plan would be better than that at this point. His brain was as foggy as his glass though, and the only thing he could think to do was bury his face in his arms and hope magic would somehow fix everything.
open!
Note: Waters is mostly deaf and will likely have trouble understanding if he's not directly looking at someone when they speak. av thanks to e<3
