Giovanna and Niklas had moved on from the safe house they were when he first escaped England and ran to her. They had been in quite a few places and sometimes they were on their own too.
They were back together again, though, and this time in Spain. The weather was quite nice down there. They were in the south in the town of Granada. They were quite close to Africa, actually, though Giovanna wasn't sure if they would go to Morocco or not. It was a little up in the air.
They had rented a nice villa and seemed to be muggle tourists, but of course they were anything but muggles. There were lots of enchantments to make muggles see what they wanted to see and ward off enemies. They didn't have a ton of enemies in Spain, but one never knew when someone might find them who they didn't want.
What were they doing in Spain? Nothing too important. But they did have to talk about their next plan. They were in a sun room with a lot of natural light and snacking on some fruit a servant brought them. Of course, once they left, that person would have their memory wiped.
"I hope you had fun on your travels," Giovanna commented. "It's time to get to business now. I had some success in Italy. Iago is on board and so is Carla. And with Carla will always come Annetta." They were a pair. A pair of sisters, actually, and they always fought together. Carla was the first one Giovanna recruited for Mortenero so naturally going to her again made sense. They were on board instantly.
"Did you find any like-minded people on your travels?" Giovanna didn't send Niklas out specifically to get allies, but that would likely be the case in the future. She would have final say on anyone and would have to meet them as well, though, especially as it was so early into their plans. The same happened with Mortenero. All the first people, Giovanna had to know personally, but after that, there were a lot of people who joined their ranks who Giovanna never even met. Especially the older students who were recruited by Mortenero professors.
Giovanna took a bite of a few grapes as she listened to Niklas. Next on her list would be Rosalia, who she hoped would be easy. She always seemed to look up to Giovanna when she was little. At least, at any family gatherings, she would always like to ask Giovanna about things. Of course, Giovanna never liked to answer much of anything and would come up with an excuse to go somewhere else. But that was mostly because Rosalia had been so young at the time. Giovanna didn't like answering to a twelve year old, even if they were just curious.

"Not especially." Meeting up with Giovanna in Spain had not been too arduous a travel for him, but to say he had enjoyed his travels was stretching things. And Niklas was not one to lie. The amount of success she had was the direct opposite of his experience, having not found a single person who would be on their side. It could very well be that his age and newness to these sorts of things had not been particularly inspiring to anyone he spoke to.
"I did not. I am not sure if it is because I am not known or if I look too young to be taken seriously." Niklas was not seated with the older woman, preferring to be on his feet at the moment. His dark eyes were scanning the view outside the villa window without a single shred of interest. Killing his father had changed him in a whole new way than all the years of mistreatment had, leaving him a colder person than ever before and, in that vein, all the more dangerous when it came to what he would do.
"Is there any particular person I should approach while we are here?" If he was needed to help convince people he could certainly give it his best effort, after all, she was the only person he had been able to approach when things had gone predictably. There was not much he wouldn't do to prove his worth either. Especially as a young wizard. Niklas had not the experience nor the power to lead, let alone the spirit. He was much better off under the command of another. Otherwise, he was adrift and without purpose at all.
