Seeing a bright silver haired boy in the streets of Knockturn Alley was quite out of the ordinary even for Knockturn Alley. The Alley itself was known for homing some of the strangest and darkest things one pretty Galleon could buy yet here Levi was lurking around the streets wearing nothing but his Black robe to cover his head and face from the rest of the dark world.
His interest in the Dark Arts has grown expediently over the last few weeks and his father had provided him with ideas to further explore his interest. He had already decided and started to feel comfortable with using certain derogatory words to describe a particular type of magical or should he say, non-magical blood. Whilst in school of course, he would do his best to remain silent and keep his views to himself.
Now, in Knockturn Alley, Levi was on the search to find a particular Dark Arts spell book which explored the concept of Blood Magic. A rare and expensive type of magic to ever explore. The magic alone was known to be connected to Necromancy which was quite a dark branch of Magic but he didn't exactly know how to just step into a store and seek books on necromancy.
For now, he decided to linger the streets of Knockturn Alley hoping to bump into someone who might be able to guide him down the right path considering his father wasn't able to join him this time. His face, slightly exposed through his black robes and hood over his head,
Ivy was not particularly enjoying her time in Diagon Alley. She’d bought some quills and parchment that she needed, and now had to wait around for a bit. It was the first time she had been allowed to go on her own, while her father ran some business errands and couldn’t keep watch over her. She had to break out of her parent’s gaze at some point, she would be an adult in just a couple of years.
She started to wander, when a bright blonde head turning down a very suspicious alley caught her eye. She recognised the boy, Levi Hilfiger. Her eyes narrowed slightly. She always wanted to give everyone a fair chance, and Levi was nice enough, but she’d heard one or two words coming out of his mouth that she couldn’t excuse from anyone. Did she dare to follow him?
Breathing deeply, she pulled her hood up and let her dark hair cover her face. Ivy Walsh in Knockturn Alley? No one could have believed it not even herself. What was she even doing? Why did she care what this blonde boy did in his spare time? She could answer neither question. Perhaps he had changed a little. Of course there was some good in him, there’s good in everyone after all.
She stepped on a stick that crunched rather loudly, and caught his eye for a second. Her heart dropped. Please please please don’t let him recognise me, she thought. I do get myself into these situations, don’t I?

Had blood magic not been an area of interest for the young Ravenclaw, would Levi have found himself in quite the predicament in Knockturn Alley? Sure, his interest in the macabre and the Dark Arts had been growing over the last few weeks and his parents couldn't of been more prouder of just how invested he was to even go on exploring concepts on his own.
The streets of Knockturn Alley seems to be getting darker and darker as torches on the walls had to be illuminated to allow light to penetrate the darkness around him. It almost reminded him of his father's office which was always dimly lit by a few floating candles. Not the type that was enchanted like the Great Hall at Hogwarts but just a few simple candles that had been charmed to levitate.
He turned a corner where he noticed he was alone if you exclude the rats that called the same street a home. The rats were not a welcoming sight nor was the dead end ahead of him. He had known of people who had gotten lost here and he hoped not to be in the same situation. To make matters worse, an echoing drip sound floated in the air as the chilling sound of a stick crunching sent shivers down his spine.
" A stalker caught in the act? " He whispered softly knowing his echoing voice would bounce about till it reached the someone or something standing in the same presence as him. He stood still with his face turned toward the dead end wall as he stood there waiting for the someone or something to make another sound as a variety of scenarios started playing in his mind.
It was eerie how quickly Ivy felt cut off from the rest of the world once she stepped into Knockturn Alley. It’s like there was a barrier there, a parting between good and evil. But Ivy was good, wasn’t she? Merely stepping into the alley did not make her a villain. Admittedly the following a stranger part was not quite what she expected of herself, but surely she’d be alright, she thought as she shivered a little.
As soon as she realised that Levi had in fact heard the presence of someone following him, she stopped in her tracks. Although his words were but a whisper, she heard them over the ringing in her ears. “No,” she exclaimed instinctively. She gasped immediately, why had she spoken? She hoped her Scottish accent couldn’t be conveyed in that single word.
Ivy pulled her hood further over her face, hoping not to be recognised. She wanted to run away, but her feet were frozen to the floor. Turning her head towards where she came from, she tried to escape. She no longer cared what Levi was doing in the alley, she just wanted to get out of there. LEVI HILFIGER

A stalker would of been the least of his worries considering he was lurking about the streets of Knockturn Alley. The Alley alone, was home to some of the poorest of the poor, the desperate as well as having a footpath that was frequented by some of the most notorious dark wizards and witches known to the wizarding world. At least in these parts of the world anyway.
Taking a deep breath quietly, Levi took grasp of his wand slowly making sure it wasn't obvious that he was completing this action, Smirking slightly, he tocked his eyes with the wall ahead of him as he thought of his next action. The voice, which he tried to identify but was utterly useless considering how much the echo was distorting the voice made things even harder for him.
"Lies." He called out as he quickly whipped around as he pointed his wand at the direction of the first human he saw or humanoid figure he saw. This was a risky move considering it could of ended his life rather quickly. "Stupefy!" He called out as a red stream blasted from the tip of his wand as he watched it illuminate the darkness around him. In return, the little glimmer of light just happened to illuminate his face ever so slightly and show off the front his silver hair.
Ivy stared into the black void in front of her. She could only make out the outline of a figure. In this darkness, it could have been Levi standing there, or someone much worse. She was still confused as to why he was in this place at all. Sure he had called people names before, horrible things relating to blood purity that she would never say, but he had been nice to her before. Surely that meant something, surely that niceness was still under there somewhere.
She eventually wrenched her feet away from the ground, fear taking over as she stumbled a little closer to where she had come from. She only managed to take a few steps however before she heard a voice yelling an incantation. Turning her head, she was just in time to see Levi’s face illuminated eerily in a flash of red light that hit her square in the chest.
Not a single thought had time to form before she drifted out of consciousness. LEVI HILFIGER

Hearing the person's body fall to the ground ungraciously somehow managed to put a smile on his somewhat baby skinned face. The sound was somehow very aesthetic to his ears. The thud, echoing in the air as an evil grin appeared on his face before he let out a small scoff. " Lies will get you no where. " He replied as he shook his head tsking away as he took a few steps closer to examine the body.
A moment of fear finally struck him when he noticed just who was actually laying on the ground in front of him. It was none other than Ivy Walsh. Another Ravenclaw student who he shared a house with. "Ivy?" He whispered as his eyebrows frowned even more curious now than ever at what was actually happening along with the question of why it had happened in the first place. Ivy wasn't exactly the type to go exploring the streets here nor did he expect anyone else from Hogwarts to an extent.
" Ivy? " He called out again still grasping his wand as he pointed the tip of his wand toward her chest. Lost for words, Levi suddenly thought of one spell which suddenly came to mind. One of the key spells he had learned in Basic Healing. "Rennervate" He called out as a small blue light erupted from the tip of his wand. Now came the difficult part, trying to come up with a false back story.
Everything sounded like she was underwater. She heard what sounded like Levi’s voice somewhere in the distance saying something she couldn’t make out, until she snapped back into consciousness, her eyes slowly opening. Suddenly remembering everything that had just happened, she fought back a groan. Her head hurt. This was going to take some explaining.
How was she going to explain to him why she was in Diagon Alley? Hi Levi, don’t mind me, just followed you in here for no reason but I’ll be off soon. That would never do. But after thinking things through, perhaps she didn’t owe him an explanation. He had just cursed her after all.
Panicking, she blurted out “Um, sorry if I scared you, I don’t normally go down here, I don’t really know what I’m doing.” Well, at least it was true, even if she had just apologised to the person who had rendered her unconscious. But what else could you expect from Ivy Walsh? LEVI HILFIGER

The tip of his wand started to dim down when he noticed some form of movement around Ivy's body. It seemed his spell had hit Ivy a little too hard. He wondered if using an obliviate charm would protect him from Ivy disclosing what she remembered just prior to being so called attacked. " Scared me?" He replied as he tucked his wand away into his pocket with the handle still sticking out just in case he should need it again. It was Knockturn Alley after all.
"You shouldn't wander off into these areas alone." He further added as he tried to offer assistance to Ivy to get back up. " It's not safe/" He added knowing that patrol units were never used in these streets. " Were you following me?" He asked rather curiously wanting to know if he was being tailed or she just happened to get lost. Though it begs the question... "Wait, why were you here in the first place? " It wasn't in Ivy's nature to be around these parts or perhaps there was more to her than what one originally perceived.
Ivy blinked as Levi spoke, realising it sounded a bit stupid that she of all people could have scared him. But still, he did react by instinctively cursing her so she assumed he must have been at least startled. She felt in her pocket for her own wand, breathing a sigh of relief when her fingertips touched its handle. Hopefully she wouldn’t need it.
She did not want his help to get up, but realised she might need it, so warily accepted. Ivy raised her eyebrows at Levi’s statement. “That’s true, but neither should you.” It was a fair point; Knockturn Alley was notorious for being dodgy. She knew as well as he did what could have happened to the both of them. It made her that more foolish for following him. Her face went bright pink as he asked the dreaded question, although hopefully it was too dark to see. However, he asked another before she thought about answering the first. Tears started to well in her eyes as she stuttered “I- I don’t know.” That wasn’t a complete lie. She tried to will the tears back into her eyeballs. She would not cry, not in front of Levi. Besides, no point crying over following someone into a dangerous alley, getting stunned unconscious, and realising what a bad idea this all was. LEVI HILFIGER

Hearing how Ivy spoke only made him ponder the thought if using the obliviate charm would of been a great choice. Although he was still young and his magical abilities didn't extent further than that of a student, he did know that he was able to remove the memory of a person even momentarily or temporarily while he would make an escape out of the situation.
"My business here is none of your concern." He replied back quickly snapping into action with an arched back. Despite Ivy having quite a valid point to what she was saying, he knew that he couldn't just freely state why he was wandering around the slums of Knockturn Alley. That and he felt he shouldn't have to explain his actions to someone that was only a Half-Blood.
A confused look appeared on his face seeing the tears roll down Ivy's face. "You don't know why you were here?" He asked not really reacting to the tears coming from her eyes. " What? Do you mean like you were cursed or something?" He asked sarcastically before looking around him and back to Ivy. "People don't just walk into here for no reason Ivy." He said with a little more of a stern voice as if he was scolding her.
Ivy did not get annoyed very often. In fact, basically never. She was far more likely to work through any injustice in a calm manner. Either that or panic and cry, as she had just done. But wiping away her tears indignantly, she felt something rising inside her. Yes she had followed someone down a dark alleyway, which wasn’t perhaps a wise decision, but she wasn’t really in the wrong here, she reasoned.
“Not cursed,” she said in a flat tone, ignoring the sarcasm. “Maybe I was following you. It’s not exactly common for someone our age to go wandering down Knockturn Alley.” Ivy had a point. She gazed at Levi, trying to make out anything in his expression that would tell her why he was here. True, it was none of business, but she’d come this far. Besides, no one as young as they were could know what they were doing if he was involved with dark magic. Perhaps she could talk him out of it, for his own good.
Don’t patronise me, she thought in her head at his words. Out loud, she said “Exactly. Look around Levi, what are you doing here?” she said. “You don’t want to get involved with the kind of people that hang around in this place.” Or at least, she sincerely hoped he didn’t. LEVI HILFIGER

Seeing Ivy speak up and stand up for her self was rather exciting. From the years Levi had known her, he knew Ivy to be the quiet type but perhaps that had changed with things over the years. Levi was only judging her based off the face value of things and maybe there was a hidden witch inside of her that wanted to burst out. " Wow." He said slightly amused in seeing the change in body language.
"It's not like you to be like this Ivy." He replied thinking that it wasn't exactly in Levi's personality to be seen here either. in Knockturn Alley but that was the old Levi. " My business here is none of your concern Ivy. " He replied back in a stern voice and quite snappy too. " What do you care anyway? I do what I want to do. " He said rolling his eyes as he took a few steps away from her to place some distance between them..
He was walking away when he came to a stop all of a sudden as he turned around slowly. " What do you mean by the kind of people around in this place?" He took offence more to this statement considering he was often frequenting the corridors of Knockturn Alley. " My parents happen to visit these places often. What are you trying to say about them?" He said arching up and talking in a much louder tone.
She raised an eyebrow at Levi’s exclamation, and she could feel her cheeks heating up a little. She didn’t normally speak up or stand up to anyone, and to be honest, she had no idea what she was doing. But somewhere under her fear, she was a little bit proud of herself. Maybe things were going to turn out alright.
In her head, she said I know. It was not like her to be like this way at all. “I could say the same for you” said Ivy. Admittedly she hadn’t spoken much to Levi before, but he had been kind to her the few times they had interacted. He seemed to be pretty much a model student at school. This was not so much the case now. “Normally you’re really nice at school” she said.
Levi repeated the same phrase, that it was none of Ivy’s concern what he was doing here. He had a point, but Ivy was concerned. He spoke again, and she realised that she didn’t know the answer to the question. Why did she care? She could walk away right now and probably get out unscathed. But there was something in Ivy that couldn’t bear to see people who had proved that they could be kind turn the other way. As Levi walked away, she thought that maybe this was the end of her escapade.
That is, until he spoke. She held her breath. She must be very careful with her next words. He spoke again and something in her jolted awake. What if her dad was waiting for her? What if he couldn’t find her? Panicking, she said “Nothing, Levi. I’m sure your parents are nice people.” She was in fact not so sure of that, but wasn’t one to make assumptions. “But there are other people that go down here. Dark wizards. Dark magic can kill people, you know that.” Ivy started to back away; she had to get out of there and fast. LEVI HILFIGER

Levi was once the type to always agree to disagree but ever since he had done his so called training with his parents and in particular his father, he had suddenly grown a thicker skin. Perhaps the constant torture during the break hardened him a bit too much and his personality was starting to reflect a Levi that others had not seen before. One that wasn't afraid to voice their concerns and especially their mind.
"Well this is the new me?" He said as he nodded quickly and smiled while tilting his head. His charming smile grinning ear to ear. " Maybe this is who I am. " He said as he replied this time in a more stoic expression to his voice. He shook his head slightly before looking at Ivy with slight disappointment. "So you're saying, because someone is here and looking at things we shouldn't be looking at, I'm not a nice person anymore? Or is it the fact I've grown a little more confident to speak up?"
" No." He said as he frowned even more as he tried to study her body movements. " You saying my parents are dark wizards?" He said this time taking a small step forward as he revealed the handle of his wand from his pocket. Not that he needed it, but in case Ivy decided to make an uneventful move, he would be prepared. He rolled his eyes when he heard what Ivy had to say.
"Have you actually ever had the chance to look up dark magic? " He asked as he paused for a second before pulling out a little piece of paper that was folded into small squares from his pocket. " On here is a potion recipe to heal a curse however it requires items that can only be found here in Knockturn Alley. So is this now considered a Dark Arts Potion? Not everything dark arts related is death. " He responded sharply speaking more passionately than ever.
