Katerina Lavelle
Birthday:April 18
Blood Status:Muggleborn
Location of Residence:London, UK [city, country]
School:Hogwarts
House:Hufflepuff
Appearance:Kat has long, wavy auburn hair that she usually wears down. Her eyes are blue and she has light freckles. She is tall but thin, and has a willowy build.
Three Characteristics You Think You Are:Helpful, Warm, Timid
Three Characteristics Others Think You Are:Caring, Naive, Absent-Minded
Three Random Facts: Kat taps her fingers against her lips when she’s thinking. Her head is often in the clouds and she is prone to daydreaming. Her favorite sweet treat is Cotton Candy, particularly when the blue and pink kind are swirled together.
Aspirations: Above all else, Kat just wants to feel as though she truly belongs in the Wizarding World. At the same time, she doesn’t necessarily feel as though she needs to be the best or ‘prove herself’. She cares far more for helping others, if she can.
Favourite Class:Herbology
Least Favourite Class:Defense Against the Dark Arts
Favourite Wizarding Food or Drink:Butterbeer
Thoughts on Blood Purism: Kat is very aware of the prejudice against her because of her blood status, and does not agree with their views at all. She knows that she has every right to her magic as everyone else.
Thoughts on the Government: As this is her first year at Hogwarts, Kat knows very little about the Wizarding World’s Government. She is, however, one who will strive to follow any rules, laws, or mandates that may come out.
Family:
Kat is an only child. Her parents are both Muggles with high ranking jobs in different segments of the Muggle Government.
Roleplay Example:
It was Fall at Hogwarts, and Katerina was loving every minute of it. She found something to enjoy in all the seasons, but there was something about Fall that made her eyes light up. Though considering how often she did that, she probably shouldn't have been so surprised. But still, between the chunky knit sweaters she got to wear on the weekends, the spiced apple cider being served in the Great Hall, and the Forbidden Forest transforming from green to an array of colors, she was given something to smile and gush over every day. And that she did. And while it was the perfect afternoon to sit on a blanket outside and enjoy the breeze, she had homework to do. Katerina knew herself well enough by now to know that she wouldn't get a single thing done if she was outside. Instead, she found herself headed back to the dorms for the night. The Hufflepuff Common Room was by far the coziest room in the castle; a fact she was certain of despite never actually seeing the Common Rooms of the other 3 houses. Running her fingers along whatever tendril of vine she passed by as she walked around the room was now a ritual she did without a second thought. She plucked a tiny white flower off of one of them as she went to stake a claim to one of the low tables by the fire. Warm and lovely as it was, their Common Room was still in the basement, and Hogwarts castle was still a bazillion years old. There was bound to be the occasional draft. Grabbing an overstuffed pillow, she settled on the floor and opened her textbook. Some time later, it was clear that Katerina just hadn't had a chance of getting anything at all accomplished that day. Her homework lay forgotten on the table next to her, the small ink spots giving away how she'd stopped, mid sentence, unconsciously deciding that she was done for the night. The sun was setting, bathing the space around her in an orange glow, rather than a sunny yellow one like she was used to. She could see the shadow of the rippling grass floating against the ceiling, and her eyes followed the movement. She found it much more interesting than transfiguration, at the moment. Enchanted by the room around her, as she so often was, Katerina's eyes began to drift shut, until she was lightly snoozing in the middle of the Common Room floor
