One thing thing caught Levi's attention as he listened to what terrifying things Don had to share. His brain stopped working for a second and Levi needed some sort of factory reset to keep going and not burst out in such foul language. His eye twitched once more as Don's words echoed in his mind before Levi finally was able to force a fake smile though despite looking as genuine as ever. Taking a small gulp and a deep breath, Levi looked around again as he started to realise why both Maeve and Julian were looking at one point.
" Ahh. I see." He replied as he looked back at Don. Levi had already invested too much for him to just up and walk away. He had to continue the lesson and somehow push down his personal thoughts on the matter and continue with the lesson at hand. It would be good practise for him too having to interact with people that were half-blood and in this case, mudblood.
His attention now focusing on what Don had said about pure-bloods having the advantage of magical living environments. " To a degree yes. " He responded nodding his head avoiding eye contact. " My family for example. " He said as he began to explain a brief history of his life. " Although I grew up in a pureblood family and my family are pureblood and I am pureblood and so is my history...." Levi's over use of the word pure-blood might of been a little suspicious and he began to focus now more on the story he was sharing.
" Well, my family in short, never allowed me to practise magic when I was young. " A lie came out of him so naturally it almost looked like it was a true story. "Anyway, let's get back on the task. " He said as he began flipping his textbook finding his wood type. " There we are, Spruce. Intensely loyal to their owners and capable of producing particularly flamboyant and dramatic effects. My core is Dragon which means that it tends to learn more quickly than other types. Yours?"

It took Calvin by surprise to see someone just placing themselves next to him announcing their wand. Calvin almost instantly replied with his own wand type. " Umm. " He replied momentarily before looking at who it was. " I've got A fir wand with African Mermaid Hair. " He picked up his own wand and began waving it slightly as little sparks came out blowing it to stop the embers from flying about.
He flicked through his textbook looking for the wand wood. " It says here that Hornbeam wood adapt more quickly than almost any other to their owner's style of magic. " He continued reading the topic and found that out that it seemed to be rather a complex type of wood.

Jung So Min walked into class, sat down and took out her textbook. She saw some people she knew in the class as she looked around the room, then heard the professor speak and let them know he was covering for Professor Smith, since he wasn't feeling well. She opened her textbook, quickly got to the page that he said to turn to and looked back at the Professor. She had already placed her wand in front of her, thought she would need it and continued to look at the Professor. She started to look through her book for the answer to his question and before she could find it, someone else answered. She listened as other students said something, also took notes on stuff she didn't already know and told them to find someone to partner up with, to look up each other wands wood core and what it means. Then said to research three different wood, write a short paragraph some interesting facts about that wood type for their homework and told them to get started. She had no clue who to ask to be her partner, so she looked around at the other students to see if she could find someone she would want to ask to be her partner.

It seemed Ilona had no need to worry, as the transfer student quickly offered up the information regarding his wand. She was visibly surprised at his wand core, eyebrows rising in interest. “Fascinating. I have never heard of such a wand core. Is it common where you’re from?” She knew from his accent that he was Australian, and yet his wand core seemed to originate from Africa. While not uncommon for wand supplies to originate from other countries or continents, it was somehow even more surprising to Ilona for such a unique core to be imported.
It was only as he read out the characteristics of her wand’s wood that Ilona realized she had not properly introduced herself. She had been at the school so long, and knew most students in her regular classes, that she had forgotten this boy would have no idea who she was. “I’m Ilona Rowle, by the way. Sixth year Slytherin. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” It seemed, just like her wand wood described, she could be a bit single-focused when she had a goal in mind. In this case, finding out about the new boy’s unique wand. She hoped he would not find offense in her abrupt introduction as she set upon finding information regarding his wand in her textbook.
“Hm… it says Fir wands demand staying power and strength of purpose in their owners. Oh! And they are particularly suited to Transfiguration. Do you find you excel in that subject?” She asked, looking up from her book.

[blocckquote]Rafe took this time while the students were working in their groups, to take dow some of his own notes to hand over to the original Professor. Before doing so, he had to do a walk around of the classroom to ensure. That everyone was on the right track. “Okay everyone.” He spoke in his deep voice before gathering the attention of the class. “ For an extra 10 house points, who can tell me what the properties of Spanish Oak?” He asked waiting to see if. Anyone would pickup on what he was saying. Naturally, the wood type didn’t exist but he wanted to play a little game with them and see who would call him out for it. [/blockquote]

She’s interesting. Kinda weird. Kinda cool. Kinda hot too. He thought as he listened and watched what Ilona had to say feeling slightly guilty over his last thought. Though he would never act on it, Calvin had been approached by many females and the occasional men seeking interest in him. Naturally, he would remain loyal to Desiree.
” Kinda weird actually. “ He replied when questioned about his wand type. “ My whole family have these types of wands. I know they say no two wands are the same but for some reason, my family and I share a commonality with the wood and wand core kinda thing. “ The Kleins’ all had similar wands. But all shared the same African Mermaid Hair.
“ Try holding it. “ He said laughing a little as he rolled the wand over to Ilona. He knew that anyone who tried to hold his wand would be greeted with an electric shock. A unique thing about his wand type. “ Calvin. Calvin Klein. I’m pretty sure I’m a fifth year. “ The whole year groups still had him a little confused with things. “ Transfiguration is one of my strongest subjects actually. Back home we called the subject transformation but tomato’s tomatoes. “ He joked carrying again his thick Australian accent.

Nicha half-expected Acacia, the transfer student, to answer that her wand wood was acacia, but simply smiled to herself when she heard a different response. She was both intrigued and a little afraid to learn that wands said things about their owner’s personality, strengths and loyalties. It meant that a wand weigher could immediately reveal private information about her! She was proud of all her characteristics, but was nevertheless unnerved by the prospect.
Deep in thought, the fifth year automatically approached a student she was familiar with to partner up for the task. “Hi again,” she greeted brightly, remembering the Charms lesson when she had also practised with Henri. She was about to give him the details of her wand when Professor Lauren posed another question about a different wand wood. Or… was it about wand wood? She raised her hand to clarify the discussion. “Professor, I see English oak and red oak in the textbook, but not Spanish oak. Isn’t it used to make brooms or something else?”

Annabelle sat in class and listened to the Professor as she looked through her book. She looked around as she then glanced at her wand and decided not to say a thing as she let other students again as before that. Annabelle planned to prove that she is smart in that class too but later as she thought it was fair to let others have a chance to anser first because it was fair and because she studied that before and she figured that it would help. Granted, Annabelle hated muggles and half bloods but it was a class so she said nothing about that, and just ignored them instead. Yet, that was just about doing what she had to not anything else even if at that moment she might hatebit slightly but still. Annabelle tried not to think of that as shd looked around herself and sighed to that.

The more Calvin explained about his unique wand, the more intrigued Ilona became. Not only was his wand core uncommon, even in his home country if he were telling the truth, but his whole family had wands with the exact same core and wand wood. She had never heard of such a thing within wizard families before. “That is quite odd. Do you happen to know why that is?” She asked as she took down some notes, her curiosity well piqued by the new student.
Her furious scribbling only paused when he rolled his wand over to her, suggesting she try holding it. The mirth in his tone, and his usage of the word ‘try’ had her suspicious. She glanced at him with a rise of her eyebrows, tentatively reaching forward to grab the wand. Her fingers had barely brushed the wand when she felt a sharp zap in her hand and quickly pulled back. Her eyes went wide as she stared between the wand and her hand. “Does it do that with everyone?” While most would probably have avoided the wand due to the pain, Ilona was more interested than ever, reaching forward again as if to test it. “I have never seen a wand do that. I’ve heard of wands being temperamental with anyone but their owners, but never of such a violent repellent.” She kept pulling her fingers closer and further away, testing the wand’s protective barrier to see how close she could get before feeling the telltale prickling of electricity.
Ilona almost laughed at his unsure response in regards to his year. “You’re not sure?” She asked with a cock of her eyebrow and a smirk. “Well, how old are you? That may help us narrow it down.” She was not surprised at all at Calvin’s reply in regards to his prowess in Transfiguration. It seemed his wand wood was well suited to his skill set. Or perhaps it was the other way around, and the wand wood aided in his Transfiguration and that was why he excelled in the subject? She jotted down a few more notes. “Are the rest of your family also quite adept in the subject? Since you all share the same wand wood.”

A familiar face was always welcome. Especially considering no one really wanted to partner up nor was he the first choice for many students at Hogwarts. " Hello again, Nicha. " He greeted with a soft smile on his face. " Did you want to work together or were you just saying hi? " He asked hoping she would want to work with him.
The professor awarding 10 house points interested him as he began flicking through his textbook to try and and find the answer. " Spanish Oak..... " He had never heard of this type of wood before. It was then when Nicha answered that made him question if it was real. Surely the Professor wasn't just trying to play a silly joke on them.

Calvin simply shrugged to Ilona's first question. He had always grew up with his family sharing this type of wood and he's never questioned it nor has anyone for that matter. " I've never asked. It's just normal for us I guess. " He explained backing his point he simply just didn't have an answer. It was rare if not non-existent for wands to carry the same wood and core so there must be something special up with his family line to all share the same woods and wands.
He watched as the wand rolled over toward Ilona with a simple smile on his face holding back the reality of what was about to happen. " Ha! Yes!" He called out bursting out in laughter as he watched Ilona's response to the party trick he had. " It's just something unique about these wands. They zap." He watched again as Ilona tried once again with curiosity. " You enjoy the buzz?" He asked with a curious expression on his face followed by a smile.
" Well, when I transferred over, there was some confusion at first. " He began to explain mimicking the same story he had told countless others. " I'm 16 but a fifth year from memory. " Even after all this time, the years and ages still confused him despite being such a minimal thing. "My family line are .... welll... I can't really say. " He said shrugging his shoulders. He couldn't exactly share that his family were practioners of the dark arts after learning it was frowned upon here. " Let's just say they excel in a particular type of magic. "
