TIME: Early November, before Noah was petrified
It was a great day for Quidditch. It was a clear day, though there were a few clouds, but nothing that threatened rain. And the temperature was warm as well, at least for November. It definitely didn't feel like winter yet and that was good for a Quidditch game.
All of the players strode out onto the pitch with their broomsticks and met in the middle of the field. The audience in the stands cheered for them all. No matter what team they were rooting for, there was loud excitement from the rest of the school.
The referee reminded them to play fairly, blew the whistle, released the balls, and the game began. The players zoomed off in various directions, some trying to get the Quaffle, others trying to get some distance from the swarm, and others eyeing the Bludgers.

Thalia was excited for this Quidditch season - mostly because she had just made it into the Slytherin team, and finally had real stakes in the competition. Even though she wasn't an active participant in this match, it was still thrilling to follow the game and see which team would pose a greater threat to Slytherin.
She was supporting Gryffindor today, since Blaise was playing as a Chaser. There was even a small red-and-gold flag clutched in one of her hands, although it seemed out of place in the Slytherin spectator stands.

The hype that surrounded Quidditch still mystified Olivia. Perhaps international games were something to follow, since each country's best players would at least provide an interesting spectacle. But matches between students of different ages and skill levels, with some flying expensive brooms while others only had the shabby school-provided relics? How could that make the entire school come out to watch?
She joined the crowd mostly out of curiosity. It didn't matter to her who would win, since she didn't know anyone on either team. Even the thought of Slytherin having won the Quidditch Cup for three consecutive years and possibly winning again failed to awaken more than a slight flicker of house pride in her.
Claiming a vacant seat, she trained her eyes on the field. Hopefully, there would be more action than just a few Chasers squabbling over the Quaffle and missing the hoops for half an hour, until one of the Seekers rendered their efforts meaningless by earning fifteen times more points than scoring a goal was worth.

Don made his way to the very top of the Slytherin spectator stands, so as not to block anyone's view with the poster. It had taken him three whole evenings to make, and another week to find an older student able and willing to place a few enchantments on it. Most of it was taken up by a surprisingly well-drawn lioness, who bared her fangs and snarled every fifteen seconds. Around it, written in dark red ink shimmering with motifs of gold, were the words WEASLEY FOR THE WIN. It wasn't the most original of slogans, but nobody wrote stirring poetry for sporting events, right?
Once the fourth-year reached his chosen seat, he unrolled the poster and held it at chest height as he waited for the game to commence. For the first time ever, he would be rooting for Gryffindor. Usually, it was Hufflepuff he cheered for - though there wasn't any reason to do so now that Aiden had graduated. He was really looking forward to seeing Rose play. Hopefully, she would provide him with plenty of opportunities to flaunt the poster.

Quidditch season had started and of course Levi was in the front crowds with his quill and a little notebook. Eager as always to learn some techniques, he carefully watched the beaters on both teams to try and find some tips that he could use for when it was his turn in the field. He examined the Hufflepuff team closely keeping a close eye on the beaters having lost them to them previously. He didn’t have a team he was specifically rooting for for his presence here today was purely academic rather than leisure.

First Quidditch game of the year, and this time it was between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff could be a more challenging team, but Rose was ready. Her first year as chaser hadn’t gone as great as she had imagined, but she had spent all summer practicing so she could improve her skills and help Gryffindor win at least a single game that year. Their record hadn’t been great the past few years, but Rose was desperate to help change that during her time at Hogwarts. As soon as the quaffle was released, she wasted no time and zipped forward, grabbing the ball mid air and flying towards the enemy goal posts.

Lia was quite nervous for her first game of the year, particularly as she would be covering for the position of keeper on that day. She wasn’t 100% confident in her new role, but being the youngest, and least experienced, she felt it made the most sense. They couldn’t sacrifice their two older chasers, nor their seeker or beater. She, on the other hand, was a bit more expendable. Taking her place in front of the rings, she gripped onto her broom handle a bit tighter, feeling her nerves growing as the quaffle was released into the possession of a Gryffindor chaser. Part of her hoped her team would be able to knock it away before it reached her, but if they didn’t, it seemed her skills would be tested sooner rather than later.

Athough not particularly interested in Quidditch, Preston tried to attend every school game simply to keep an eye on the students. After last year's match between Slytherin and Gryffindor, he remembered just how heated the games could become. He didn't want anyone else falling off their broomstick and risking a severe injury. He watched the red and yellow figures zoom around, mildly intrigued to see which team would prevail today.

This was his first time ever seeing a real life and live action game of Quidditch. To say Calvin was excited was an understatement. Whilst he didn’t understand the complexities of Quidditch, he did know to always cheer for a team. Today however, he didn’t know who to cheer for. He wore a Gryffindor novelty hat along with a Hufflepuff scarf and had red and black stripes on his left cheek and yellow and black striped on his right cheek and a sign that had “ Go Gryffindor!” On one side and on the back wrote “Go Hufflepuff” He paused just next to mother student when he decided to cheer for the team. “ Go winning team and good luck to the not so winning team. “ He said before smiling pleased with his efforts to cheer the team as he began flipping his sign backwards and forward.
“ This is exciting isn’t it? “ He gleamed with a smile on his face talking to the person next to him.

Rose kept moving towards the Hufflepuff hoops, so far finding herself largely unimpeded in her progress. Quaffle tucked tightly under her arm, her focus was single-minded: reach the hoops and score a goal. She tuned out everything else around her and leaned forward on her broom, trying to spur it to move faster, so she could hopefully score a goal before the opposing team had a chance to catch up to her.

The Australian transfer student - Calvin, she remembered after a few seconds of rummaging in her memory - was actively cheering for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. He even put effort into making a sign, painting his face, and obtaining paraphernalia of both teams. The tiny red-and-gold flag she was holding seemed rather inadequate in comparison.
"It really is," she agreed, unable to stop herself from grinning at his appearance. Somehow, she suspected he hadn't attended that many games. After a brief struggle between bashfulness and curiosity, the latter gained control of her vocal cords. "So do you play Quidditch?"
Post by CALVIN KLEIN on Apr 21, 2024 0:49:20 GMT -5
Calvin continued to cheer making up his own cheers that just made him stand out rather weirdly. During the most intense moments of the games, Calvin was busy looking at the birds flying around the field and during the quiet moments, he was loudly cheering in his own obnoxious way.
“ Yay go winning team whichever that is however we all support you none the less regardless who wins!” He yelled before looking over to the other girl. “ Hi. I’m Calvin.” He finally introduced before listening to her question. “ Nah. I don’t even know how the game works in all honesty. “ He replied before waving a yellow, red and gold pompom from the tip of his wand.

Quidditch was a great game to forget about classes, homework, and the fact he was now creeping closer to graduation than he was his first time at Hogwarts. It felt like it hadn't been long enough for that despite knowing he was growing up. He was certainly a lot taller than when he'd first started! It did make him wonder if he was going to find the Snitch before the Hufflepuff one or not, but he wouldn't know until they got there. So his eyes constantly swept the field looking for it, nudging his broom to do small circles around the pitch to always be on the move.

The healers told him he had to wait with playing Quidditch till at least next spring. The stitches had healed into a scar but his muscles and other tissue were still fragile and recovering. But Lewis was a team player to the core. So he wasn't going to let Hufflepuff down. He decided to wear a turtle neck under his uniform. Ever since he returned to Hogwarts he always wore a scarf or something else to cover the scar.
Alright let's do this. He was usually chatty, cheering on his team mates. Not having a voice felt alien but he still was going to try. He flung the bat and felt impact from the bludger tear through his body before he hit it towards the Gryffindor seeker.

With the game already started, Henri took notice of the quaffle in Rose’s possession. Racing toward her, he did his best to Nudge the ball out of her. He did his best attempt at slamming himself into her in the aims of her dropping the quaffle but he didn’t exactly know how well Rose had gripped the Quaffle.
