This was a bad idea. Acacia had signed up to be a club leader for power. She knew that it came with having to plan meetings and possibly even teaching charms - she would rather drink Essence of Insanity than become a teacher - but had not given such annoying matters much thought when she was blinded by the idea of being better recognised at Hogwarts.
Still, every meeting was planned well so far and the new Ravenclaw was present in each one to do her job. Standing in the lawns where their meetings were held, Acacia greeted the members with a bright smile that nobody could mistake for a desire to go back to bed.
“Welcome back to Charms Club, guys. Today, we will work on charms based on the theme of water. First years will practise the Water-Repelling Charm Impervius; second and third years, the Boiling Water Charm Fervidus; fourth and fifth years, the Drought Charm Siccatus; and sixth and seventh years, the Water Conjuring Spell Aguamenti. Let’s take fifteen minutes to practise individually, with a partner, or in a small group.”
“After that, we will play a game of ‘obstacle course’. Form a group with one or two students from each year group. The oldest student conjures water into the basin and passes it to the youngest student, who makes an object of their choice water-repellent and dips it into the basin to see if it worked. The basin is passed to the second or third year in the group who boils the water, and is finally passed to the fourth or fifth year who dries up the water. You may try this multiple times with different quantities of water!”
The game sounded alright when she planned it in her head anyway. Acacia crossed her arms and began to pace around the area to supervise the practice and subsequent obstacle course.

Joining the Charms club was an example of how he wanted to further progress his academics whilst he was still enrolled at Hogwarts. Acacia seemed to be on top of the leadership thing and he began to wonder what else she could do. More importantly, who the heck she was.
“ Have you had much practise with this spell Acacia was it? “ He asked trying to seek out more about her past and who she was while making reference to the Siccatus charm she had mentioned. One thing he did however enjoy was the fact that they were about to turn the club into games.
Ivy quite enjoyed Charms club. Acacia did a pretty efficient job of running it, and she liked that the meetings were sometimes turned into games rather than just mindless practice. Deciding to take some initiative, she pointed her wand at the water and said “Siccatus!” Only about three quarters of it dried up, but Ivy tried not to be discouraged. That was what practicing was for, after all.

She did not avoid strolling past Levi Hilfiger, but she did want to avoid speaking with him if she could. Acacia could only remember bits of what she wrote in her anonymous letters to him and they were some questionable things. Despite her belated effort to stay unnamed, she had let out some recognisable information, like the countries she lived in. The Vietnamese-Irish accepted that it was a matter of time before her one-sided recognition of her pen pal was requited, especially since it turned out that they had so many things in common at school, but did not want to gain a reputation of any sort too early in the term. She was at least glad when she learned that he was a pureblood, and that she had not been wasting time writing to somebody less than that.
“Yep, it’s Acacia. Well, I’ve only really practised the spells in preparation for tests,” she admitted, though she wasn’t ashamed of it. One of the aims of Charms Club was to help members improve for tests. “The Water Conjuring Charm and Drought Charm seem to be popular ones in the practical portion of tests. I guess you can use Siccatus to dry up small puddles of water after it rains.”
To Ivy, she nodded at her half-successful attempt at Siccatus. “Good job! Try saying the incantation with more gusto?” she suggested. Ravenclaws had to do better than that.

It was interesting that the Charms Lesson he had completed recently focused on the basis of fire while the Charms club focused on drying things up. He pondered for a second how this spell could be useful till a plethora of scenarios popped into his mind suddenly lighting a bulb in his mind just how useful this one could be.
Levi knew exactly who Acacia was but out of respect to her wishes, refused to mention anything she had talked about in her owl. Instead, he respected Acacia as the club leader and followed on from what she said. He simply nodded to what Acacia said before making his way to a bowl to begin practising the spell.

Leo had to admit that Acacia's plan for Charms club sounded like a lot of fun, plus he would get to practice Aguamenti. Any time that he could be practicing was time well spent. "Aguamenti!" Leo said, casting the spell over a container. He felt in front of him for the water to check that the spell had gone properly. To his delight, he found that it had. He listened in on a few of the others in case anybody was having troubles--Leo thought he was pretty good at Charms.
Leo is blind. Don't expect him to notice your character waving at him.
